Best Stratovarius since the infinity!!!!!!!!!! If you are like me a true power metal fan, then you know your music, so let me tell you, that this album is the best band ever made since the infinity, and i hope that part 2 will be just as good, Best power metal album of the year!!!!!!
Just one thing always bothers me is that voice of Timo Kotipelto, i hope he gets fired one day, so Timo Tallki could sing. Submitted by a reviewer (NEW YORK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
hummmmmmmm!!! Am a big fan of stratovarius and I got to say that is maybe the worst album of the band.Except for the exellent Eagle Heart song,it seem that the band try something else, searching for a new way.
But I don't like the way they take.
Hope the elements part 2 gonna be pure stato!!! Submitted by a reviewer (St Ferdinand) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
BEST STRATOVARIUS CD YET I recently began listening to Strat. after receiving a Nuclear Blast(record label) sampler. I liked the song on the sample so I purchaced a few of their CDs. This new release is the BEST one I have heard. If you like bands like HELLOWEEN, HAMMERFALL or GAMMA RAY then this CD would make a great addition to your listening collection. Elements Vol. 1 songs
$10.85 Long-awaited second part of the chart breaker Avantasia by mastermind Tobia Sammet from Edguy and featuring members of Gamma Ray, Rhapsody, Virgin Steele, Within Temptation, Warrior, Helloween, Angra, Kiss & Stratovarious! This Century Media Records release includes 2 bonus tracks 'Chalice Of Agony' (edit version) & 'Avantasia' (single version) for a total of 12. 2002.
Eagerly anticipated by power metal audiences who embraced Tobias Sammet's first Avantasia project, the aptly titled The Metal Opera, Pt. 2 essentially offers more of the same, in sound, style, and personnel. Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween) gets credit for his appearance this time out, following his mystery cameo as "Ernie" on the first record, and a number of the featured vocalists from Pt. 1 reprise their characters on the second installment; new faces include Bob Catley (Magnum) ...
| | Hammerfall Crimson Thunder CD (2002)
Elements Vol. 1 album
$13.59 Hammerfall's grandiose heavy metal posturing only narrowly avoids the type of self-parody exhibited by Manowar (for that matter, the bandmembers' outfits are only slightly less ridiculous than Manowar's swords-and-loincloths look). But fans of the genre probably won't care -- the band performs its soaring power metal anthems with spirit, dedication, and heroic execution on Crimson Thunder. This is pure classicism here; Hammerfall devotedly ...
| | Stratovarius Elements PT. 2 CD (2003)
Elements Vol. 1 CD music
$10.45 Scandinavian prog-power-metal specialists Stratovarius begin their sequel to 2002's Elements, Pt. 1 with a neo-classical dirge called "Alpha and Omega," which showcases their melodic muscle and top-notch playing. Musically, the group are masters of fantasy-metal excess, but bereft of the Dungeons & Dragons hyperbole employed by similar artists. The series as a whole draws from blueprints laid out by Helloween's Keeper of the Seven Keys series, borrowing liberally from their nursery rhyme choruses, ferocious double-basslines, and operatic vocals -- lead singer Timo Kotipelto channels Helloween crooner Michael Kiske throughout -- without the thematic focus. There are some inspired moments ...
| | Duke Ellington Piano Duets: Great Times! CD (1984)
Elements Vol. 1 music CDs
$9.89 These unique performances were recorded in 1950 and were originally released as 10-inch LPs. They were combined in their present form in 1964 on Riverside (475). Includes liner notes by Jack Maher.
Digitally remastered by Joe Tarantino (Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California).
According to the liner notes, Leonard Feather got the idea for this recording from an elegant piece of party schtick in which Ellington and Strayhorn would play four-handed on a single piano. ...
| | Ice Bad Blood CD (1998)
Elements Vol. 1 songs
$14.29 By the time Ice had reconstituted, Martin and Broadrick's ear had taken in hip-hop as a key influence, resulting in a slew of guest MCs taking a bow throughout Bad Blood. Not every vocalist comes from that particular background, it should be noted; indeed, on half the tracks none other than Einsturzende Neubaten's Blixa Bargeld participates! Martin's expected roaring isn't present much here -- there's little distortion or stretched out syllables, while a spoken/sung style often takes the fore, cutting in, out and around the guest turns. Tricky if anything is the role model for Martin, at least to an extent. DJ Vadim crops up on two tracks as well, while Scott Harding ...
