Jingles: The Best Of Regurgitator album
$15.65 The release of 2009's ENDGAME brings with it a startling realization: if first-generation thrash metal fans had been polled about which of the genre's "Big Four" -- Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth -- would prove to be the most resilient and consistently prolific over the next quarter century, the only sure-fire consensus would probably have been "well, anyone but Megadeth!" And yet, 12 studio albums and 150-plus songs later -- more than any of the other three have managed -- that's exactly what's ...

Jingles: The Best Of Regurgitator CD music
$12.09 On 2009's WELCOME TO THE MASQUERADE, the trio that put the "rawk" in rawkfest gives no hint of the rap element that once defined their sound, fueling the evidence that the guys from Toronto have fully morphed into one of the decade's powerhouse modern rock outfits. No longer living in a world dominated by rapcore and nu metal groups that once drew their comparisons (Limp Bizkit, Korn), Thousand Foot Krutch have moved on, climbing new heights of pure rock which, it would seem, the band was always destined to reach. Indeed, the band's full-scale audio assault makes it difficult to imagine that they could ever top the crystal-clear production and deliberate crunch of MASQUERADE. ...

| | In Strict Confidence Holy CD (2004)
Jingles: The Best Of Regurgitator songs
$12.95 Stalwarts of the late-'90s German electrowave scene, In Strict Confidence still operates well within the boundaries of the goth-industrial-electro territory, complete with blippy synthesizer beats, a dark but expansive acoustic, and Teutonic vocals that tend to be growly and are generally chanted or intoned rather than sung. But at the same time there's something more approachable about the chord changes and ...
| | Sons Of The Pioneers Rca Country Legends CD (2004)
Jingles: The Best Of Regurgitator album
$10.29 The Sons of the Pioneers recorded for RCA labels from 1944 to the late '60s, a period that came long after the group had waxed the originals of "Cool Water" and "Tumbling Tumbleweeds," and also after the former Leonard Slye (aka Roy Rogers) had moved on to a solo career. Still, the backbone of the group -- vocalists Bob Nolan and Tim Spencer plus the hot fiddle-guitar tandem of Hugh and Karl Farr -- remained intact, and the Pioneers often wrote excellent material. Their volume in the RCA Country Legends series includes only 16 tracks, but it's a perfectly selected compilation, perhaps skimping on the hits but, in the process, taking in all manner of intriguing material. These latter-day versions of "Cool Water" and "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" may not exert the primal force of the originals, but they're equal in quality and, thanks to the Pioneers' long screen time in Westerns during the '40s, just as familiar to listening ...

| | Michael Lubrant Any Road You Take CD (2008)
Jingles: The Best Of Regurgitator album
$12.69 You will never meet a guy more interested in and passionate about music than Michael LuBrant. Michael will talk to you for an hour about the beauty of a chord change during the second verse of some obscure song you've never heard of. He'll discuss the meaning of the lyrics of a song all night and into the break of day if you can stay awake. He'll stay until close and play an acoustic set on a borrowed guitar at any bar in town as long as you're buying (and probably even if you aren't). He would sit in with a band and play triangle if that was the only slot open. The guy just loves music. Michael was born in New Jersey. His fascination with music began at an early age with a Mickey Mouse record player and an inherited stack of old 45's. Later on, after several failed attempts, Michael managed to teach himself how to play guitar. At first he was satisfied playing the songs ...
