The fourth installment of Ubiquity's Ape Breaks series gives more of what the previous four installments so humbly delivered. This is a 40-minute excursion into the science of making beats, perfect for the producer looking for guilt-free, sample-worthy material or turntablists looking for a predictable funky loop to mess about with. A variety of tempos and textures are covered, and producer Shawn Lee generously made each break royalty free. While it may not provide for intriguing listening, it is a worthwhile purchase for underground beat fanatics searching for something outside of the Ultimate Breaks and Beats scope.
