Barbarosa Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Willie ROCKS!!!!! Willie Good or Bad is always Cool, only problem with Willie is even when he plays a roll as the bad guy he's just to cool and you can't help but to side with him. To me this is one of Gary Busey's best rolls. Great Great Western!!!!!! Submitted by buddha9764 (Akron, MI, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

brilliant Brilliant film, being a Willie nelson fan the film was all we could hope for. the only problem we had was the film was advertised as AREA 0 but when it arrived, it was AREA 1. It was lucky our computer takes any area, we cannot watch it on our television. Submitted by ustwoathome (Stoke on Trent, UK) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$3.95 Country music legend Dolly Parton lends her sunny charm to the heartwarming made-for-TV film UNLIKELY ANGEL. | | Rick Springfield Living In Oz CD (1983)
Barbarosa movie DVD
$5.95 Though this was Rick Springfield's ninth album, it seemed like the third to most pop music fans, as it came on the heels of his breakthrough, Working Class Dog, and its successful follow-up, Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet. And though this contained as many hits as the aforementioned collections, it isn't remembered as quite the same in terms of accomplishment; this may be because it is so personal that it's just not as accessible. Living in Oz is Springfield's response to the dance-pop wave that was just starting to build and would be prominent until grunge announced its presence, as well as his response to the naysayers who wouldn't accept him as a serious musician. Where earlier hits, like "Jessie's Girl" and "Don't Talk to Strangers," were well-crafted pop tunes, on this release he shows an edge and a maturity he hadn't before. By embracing the synthesizers he also shows contempt for, he is able to illustrate how they're changing music and the way fans mindlessly embrace them. This sets up a dichotomy between the coldness of synths and about the need for the human touch -- whether it's with a mistress, a friend, or a father -- as each cut is about the need for that touch or about ...
| | LaBelle Nightbirds CD (1974)
Barbarosa video
$5.95 The finest of Labelle's original albums, Nightbirds was recorded in New Orleans with funkmeister Allen Toussaint handling the production chores and, one assumes, members of the Meters taking care of the session work. Worth the price of admission for the Bob Crewe-written "Lady Marmalade" alone, the album veers between the strutting New Orleans, horn-laden singles and more mainstream pop material. ~ Rob Bowman After two commercially unsuccessful albums for Warner Brothers, LaBelle moved to Epic in 1974 to record the brash, deeply funky NIGHTBIRDS. Helmed by famed New Orleans producer, arranger, and hit-maker Allen Toussaint, NIGHTBIRDS mixes sassy New Orleans R&B with hard-driving funk and LaBelle's soulful, often eclectic, take on girl-group dynamics. On the strength of Toussaint's horn-driven arrangements and the album's runaway smash single, "Lady Marmalade" (with its ...
