| | Ketchup Song CD
This budget release features cover versions of popular Latin pop hits. Enrique Iglesias'"Hero," infamous novelty hit, " The Ketchup Song," and no less than three cuts from Christina Aguilera's smash debut are all represented here, recast in tepid reverb and overwrought vocalizing. Ketchup Song is a disappointment, since it's an obvious attempt at making a quick payday off the songs' coattails. ~ Johnny Loftus Ketchup Song Songs | 1. | Ketchup Song, The (Aserje) |

| | Aventura Last CD (2009) Digipak
Ketchup Song CD music
$11.89 Latin pop boy band Aventura has achieved no small amount of success with their unique blend of traditional Dominican bachata and sleek, Top 40-oriented R&B. THE LAST, Aventura's fifth studio release, further explores the band's swoon-worthy style, and is one of their most accomplished and impressive efforts.
As usual, the quartet plays to their strengths, which include lilting tropical ballads, with the occasional foray into hip-hop-flavored slow jams, such as "Spanish Fly," featuring cameos from Ludacris and Wyclef Jean. Additional cameos from Akon, Wisin y Yandel, and jazz legend Arturo Sandoval heighten the star appeal of THE LAST, but it's Aventura's smooth, sultry bachata-pop that steals the show.

| | Diana Krall Quiet Nights CD (2009)
Ketchup Song music CDs
$13.69 Diana Krall's first studio outing since she and husband Elvis Costello became the proud parents of twin boys, 2009's QUIET NIGHTS finds the jazz singer/pianist turning in a serene and pleasantly subdued set. Krall breezes through a few bossa nova standards, most notably "The Girl from Ipanema" (here gender-reversed to "The Boy...") and the title track (originally "Corcovado"), both penned by the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim. QUIET NIGHTS isn't solely a Brazilian-themed outing, however, as Krall also spends plenty of time in the comfortable realm of the Great American Songbook, offering up elegant orchestral renditions of "I've Grown Accustomed to His Face" and the Bacharach/David gem "Walk On By" that benefit from her supremely smoky vocals and graceful delivery.

Ketchup Song CD music
$10.65 A DAY WITHOUT RAIN won the 2002 Grammy Award for Best New Age Album.
Celtic songbird Enya is nothing if not consistent--A DAY WITHOUT RAIN won't disappoint anyone who was entranced by her first major hit "Orinoco Flow." The same blend of adult-contemporary pop, Celtic overtones, and peaceful, new age-derived ambience fills these songs. Enya knows how to set a mood, and she takes her time establishing the themes here; the title cut that opens the album doesn't even have any words, just Enya's harmoniously overdubbed humming.
Speaking of overdubs, Enya sang and played every single thing on A DAY WITHOUT RAIN herself, demonstrating both an impressive versatility and a remarkable steadiness of vision. With the (seemingly) sampled timpani and strings that adorn much ...

Ketchup Song music CDs
$20.95 Import only release of their ace sophomore album, originally released in 1998. Normal Records.
Having established what would be the basic Trees sound two years previously, the next few albums would see the band taking a path similar to that of the Cocteau Twins, spending time refining and playing around with a set model, but rarely stepping beyond said model. A band rehashing itself or merely playing to its strengths? On the basis of Millpond, clearly much more the latter. Helped in part by the additional keyboards of Mark Tibenham, which provide some delicate shades and fills on such tracks as "Simple Tom and the Ghost of Jenny Bailey," the Trees continue to produce impassioned, dramatic songs with lyrical inspiration in emotional extremes, rural settings, supernatural events, and mystic imagery, as song titles like "The Sandstone Man" and "Count Jefferey" (a frightening, disturbing number with a freakish bass intrusion from Steven Burrows) demonstrate. "The House of the Heart" is the stand-out track this time around, with strings and trumpet flourishes adding to a song notably lighter in musical tone than most of the Trees' songs, while not lacking the band's classic elements of reverbed guitar and Simon Jones' brooding vocals. "From the Silver Frost" also hits high, with a gentle, ...

| | Paid In Full CDs (2002) Original Soundtrack
Ketchup Song album
$11.99 When the subject of old school rap music comes up, there's always one guy who claims to have hung out in all the South Bronx parks back in the day, break dancing to the sounds of TR-808's powered by electricity from a lamppost. Everyone else listens with hushed reverence, wishing they could have experienced a little of the old school magic that spawned the hip-hop revolution. The soundtrack to the film PAID IN FULL attempts to recapture that magic by recreating the sounds and atmosphere of a seminal '80s rap jam. Appropriately, the opening track features Eric B & Rakim, whose classic 1987 album PAID IN FULL inspired the soundtrack's title.
The fun continues with aggressive tracks from several other groundbreaking early rappers,'80s R&B stars and new jack swing artists, including Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, KRS-One, Special Ed, Mel'isa Morgan, MAZE Featuring Frankie Beverly, and Guy. All the while, The World Famous Brucie B MC's up a storm, offering shout outs and running commentary, encouraging listeners to "come on!," and generally maintaining a butt-skakin' party atmostphere. PAID IN FULL also includes a bonus disc entitled DREAM TEAM, which is a mixed bag of contemporary East Coast hip-hop.
Contains an untitled hidden track following "Goodbye Love".
