But his best friend, Future (Mekhi Phifer), is determined to make that happen. Future forces Rabbit to enter a freestyle battle that he blew the week before, giving him another chance at redemption. My local DVD emporium was stocking numerous copies of this movie, and I wanted to check it out. The man on the front, dressed in his tracksuit, i assumed to be in training for some sort of 8 mile marathon, and that the film would be a tale of daring, a hero's journey to succeed agaist the odds in an almost impssible situation. I asked the young man at the counter whether 'succeeding against the odds' was an apt description of this movie. He said yes. I parted with my money and left with hope. But it was not long before my hope was dashed. Instead of a running race, my jaw fell in horror at the sight of this obviously drug addled man talking to himself in the mirror. But i gave it some time. Once i realised this was a movie involving bitching about other men behind a microphone I felt disgusted and cheated, and the language used is enough to make the roughest of sailors blush. Sickened to my stomach, i took the dvd out and marched toward the store i obtaibned it from. My palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms were heavy, I was nervous but on the surface I looked calm and ready... or something, and I was told with a laugh I could have a refund. But this is no laughing matter. If there was a rating less than one this deceiving movie would deserve it.

I would drive 8 miles blindfolded and throw this DVD out the car window just to be sure noone in the house ever finds it again....
