Office of Strategic Influence album by OSI was released Feb 18, 2003 on the Inside Out Music label. A veritable prog metal "supergroup," O.S.I. -- the "Office of Strategic Influence" -- was formed by Fates Warning guitarist Jim Matheos, Chroma Key and former Dream Theater keyboardist Kevin Moore, and Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, with help from Gordian Knot bassist Sean Malone. Office of Strategic Influence CD music Like similar collaborations, such as Transatlantic or Liquid Tension Experiment (many of which feature the same rotating cast of six or eight talented players), O.S.I. 's debut album is more than the sum of its disparate parts. Office of Strategic Influence masterfully blends '70s-styled progressive rock, heavily influenced by King Crimson and Pink Floyd, with an '80s-era heavy metal aesthetic, and the avant-garde sound of underground indie rockers such as Max Vague. Great side Project
This debut cd by Osi is is well planned and a great performance.Being a project of 3 of the best in prog rock: Jim Matheos of Fates Warning, Kevin Moore of Chroma Key and Mike Portney of Dream Theater i had to get it. I was surprised how different it is.This is crafty songs more kept on a lower key.It is really mellow and unique.The heavier parts are very tight and rock. If you want something different and really want to listen to good music this is for you.

Its clear to see where the talent lies.. OSI all the way
I agree with the previous statement about OSI, i reckon these guys are nothing short of remarkable.. Potential fans out there take the time to get this album as well as the 2006 album Free as they are both extremely good prog rock titles.. I believe this is the start of something great for the band as they have shown that they are capable of being amoung the elite in the same field to rival that of Dream theater... !!!

Hace tiempo que no escuchaba 2 CD tan rebuenos con power music, excelentes vocesy muy lindas melodias faciles de seguir. Cada uno de los 5 aporta lo suyo y demuestran que pueden hacer cosas diferentes. La verdad es que lo he escuchado varias veces y no cansa. Very well, el cover de Pink Floyd está genial, felicitaciones
