Black & White; Soundtrack English The 1960s television series is updated for the 1990s in this computer-effects heavy family effort. Television reporter Tim O' Hara (Daniels) thinks he has the story of the century when he stumbles across a real-life Martian (Lloyd). While trying to gain evidence of the landing, however, the alien moves into to Tim's house, posing as his "Uncle Martin." Tim, Martin, and Martin's talking space suit "Zoot" then find themselves trying to avoid the discovery of their secret by an evil scientist. Look for original TV martian Ray Walston in a small role! My Favorite Martian Reviews: "...Amiable family entertainment....Mr. Daniels and Mr. Lloyd are deft comedians; Mr. Daniels in his understated fashion and Mr. Lloyd with a gift for eccentricity....They play off each other neatly..."

Disney's hilarious MY FAVORITE MARTIAN is an intergalactic comedy that crash-lands the classic television series into the nineties! This hilarious adventure begins when an ambitious TV reporter, Tim O'Hara (Jeff Daniels), stumbles upon a Martian (Christopher Lloyd) who has just crashed on Earth! Thinking this is the story of the Millennium, Tim schemes to expose the Martian -- who has taken human form as "Uncle Martin." When Tim's efforts are constantly foiled by Uncle Martin's crazy antics, he decides to help the resourceful alien return home. With the government hot on their trail and a spaceship in pieces, can they blast Uncle Martin off in time? Wild special effects create outrageous laughs, including aliens morphing, cars shrinking, objects floating, and Martin's rowdy spacesuit, Zoot. Also starring Elizabeth Hurley (AUSTIN POWERS), Daryl Hannah (SPLASH), and Ray Walston (from the original "My Favorite Martian" television series), MY FAVORITE MARTIAN keeps kids and parents entertained over and over again with its fast-paced action and nonstop laughs!

$16.69 39 years after making the groundbreaking independent horror film BLOOD FEAST, Herschell Gordon Lewis returns with a sequel to that cult favorite. J.P. Delahoussaye stars as Faud Ramses III, the grandson of BLOOD FEAST's protagonist, who moves into his grandad's catering shop. It isn't long before Faud the 3rd proves to be a chip off the old block, luring buxom young women into his lair and carving them up for sandwiches. Though Lewis has sharpened his filmmaking chops since the 1963 original, the master's whimsical touch remains in evidence, making BLOOD FEAST 2 an enjoyable, if belated, sequel to a classic.
From the godfather of gore, Herschell Gordon Lewis, comes the most eagerly awaited sequel in the annals of splatter ...

My Favorite Martian film
$10.35 Paul Thomas Anderson follows 1999's MAGNOLIA with the intensely compelling character study PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE. Barry Egan (Adam Sandler) is a quiet, shy, socially awkward man with an office in an out-of-the-way warehouse. He is dedicated to his job as a wholesale toilet plunger salesman, he keeps a nice apartment, and he is obsessed with special offers on grocery store products. Barry's latest fixation is on frequent flier miles included with the purchase of Healthy Choice foods. Barry wears a bright blue suit, though he doesn't know why. With seven outspoken sisters, Barry is constantly being nagged, questioned, and berated. He is challenged to explain the reasons for his actions, and it eventually becomes clear that Barry cannot control his often-violent impulses, a trait which is increasingly problematic. When a beautiful woman, Lena Leonard (Emily Watson), walks into his life with an instinctive attraction to him, a nonjudgmental attitude, and unconditional love, Barry undergoes a powerful transformation.
Anderson's film is a tour-de-force for which he garnered the Best Director award at Cannes 2002. Set primarily in Los Angeles and Utah, he shoots either bleak deserted spaces (apartment building hallways) or lush, exotic paradises (Hawaii). Aiming for a Technicolor look, the blue of Barry's suit in contrast with Lena's solid ...
| | Charley Chase Collection - Vol. 2 DVD (2005)
My Favorite Martian review
$18.39 Charley Chase was making it as General Director at the Hal Roach Studios, working on silent films that starred other comics such as Harold Lloyd and Snub Pollard, when Roach solicited him for work in front of the camera. He began making wildly popular one- and two-reel comedies, prototypes for the situation comedies of today. Usually playing a hapless young man who finds himself mired in an embarassing situation, he was also known as the good-looking, carefree hero who (almost) always got the girl. Manifesting the spirit ...
