| | Tupac - Live At The House Of Blues DVD (1996) DTS Sound
Brain's Lesson film
$12.19 Given his notorious gangsta lifestyle and even more controversial death, it's no wonder that the actual musical output of rapper Tupac Shakur has often been overshadowed by his infamous biography. But despite his brief existence, Tupac left behind a thick musical legacy whose lyrical brilliance outshadows most rappers' entire careers. This program pays tribute to Tupac's musical artistry with his last ever recorded performance, which took place at Hollywood's House of Blues on July 4, 1996, just two months prior to ...
| | Brady Bunch - The Complete Fourth Season DVDs (1972) Full Frame
Brain's Lesson review
$22.49 Created by Sherwood Schwartz of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND fame, 1970s sitcom THE BRADY BUNCH remains one of the most beloved comedy series in television history--not to mention a full-blown pop culture phenomenon replete with iconic catchphrases and a ubiquitous theme song. Debuting in 1969, the series eschewed the social turbulence of its era for squeaky-clean, escapist entertainment centered around the union of lovely-lady divorcée Carol Martin (Florence Henderson) and her three flaxen-haired daughters, Marcia (Maureen McCormick), Jan (Eve Plumb), and Cindy (Susan Olsen), to a widower named Mike Brady (Robert Reed), his three sons Greg (Barry Williams), Peter (Christopher Knight), and Bobby (Mike Lookinland), and their ...

Brain's Lesson DVD
$14.79 The five Canadians who make up the KIDS IN THE HALL cast--Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson--return for more edgy, experimental comedy in this third season of episodes from the show. Produced by SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's Lorne Michaels, the show was populated by unique characters and hysterical forays into the bizarre (often in drag). ...
| | Fiona Apple Extraordinary Machine CD (2005) DualDisc
Brain's Lesson movie DVD
$16.69 This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.
Fiona Apple's long-awaited follow-up to 1999's WHEN THE PAWN... had a difficult (and well-documented) inception that involved pulling the notoriously strong-willed artist out of self-imposed seclusion in her California home. The end result, however, is an assured outing that upholds Apple's reputation for exceptional albums, proving that it was well worth the six-year wait.
Bookended by lush, vaudeville-like tunes created with Apple's longtime collaborator Jon Brion, EXTRAORDINARY MACHINE features production work by Mike Elizondo (50 Cent, Eminem) on all other tracks. Those expecting any hip-hop flourishes will be left empty-handed; this disc presents Apple working in her signature style, with her soulful, slightly mischievous voice carrying these confident, primarily piano-driven songs. The performer's ...

| | Looney, Looney, Looney Bugs Bunny Movie DVD (1981) Full Frame
Brain's Lesson review
$10.75 Yosemite Sam winds up in hell and makes a deal with the devil to trade places with Bugs Bunny, which, of course, proves harder than it sounds, in "Satan's Waitin'," the first section of this compilation of cartoon classics culled from the comedic cranium of animatior Friz Freleng. In the second section, "The Unmentionables," Bugs is recruited by Uncle Sam to put an end to gangsters Rocky and Mugsy. The final sequence is "The Oswald Awards," an Oscar ceremony for cartoon characters. Nominees include the Big Bad Wolf in "The Three Little Bops" (a wild jazz version of "The Three Little Pigs"), Sylvester and Tweety in "Birds Anonymous" (a strange satire of 12-step programs), and Bugs Bunny in the classic "High-Diving Hare." Bugs wins the award, causing a furious Daffy to challenge him to a duel of vaudeville-style dancing and gags (from "Show Biz Bunny"). All the favorite Freleng characters are likely to be found somewhere in this assembly, making ...
