AC/DC Live CD music AC/DC reclaimed its status as gutbucket rock n' rollers to be reckoned with on this searing double-disc live set. AC/DC Live music CDs The year was 1992, more than 15 years after the group's first recording. AC/DC Live songs By this point, the band was approaching middle age, a time when most rockers settle into the lazy comfort of their genres. AC/DC Live album From the opening guitar shards of "Thunderstruck," it is clear no such concessions have been made. The bass drum falls in, not so much a timekeeper as an underground detonation device, and the repeated cries of "thunder!" gain volume like an approaching army. The difference being that this is an army with one mission and one mission only: to knock the lights out of anyone within earshot. ...See Full Description

| Bon Scott singing? This album was recorded in 1990-1991. Bon Scott was the original singer so he has co-writing credits on nine of the tunes, but contrary to the other review, I'm pretty sure Brian Johnson is the vocalist on this entire album. They have since released a live album that features old recordings with Bon Scott though. In any event, this is a great album, AC/DC at their best. I don't understand the reviewer who said this is too similar to the studio recordings either. It's live AC/DC, that's how they play, what more do you want? I have the original CD release, I don't how the remaster sounds. Some remasters are excessively peak limited to be louder, sometimes too loud, so I don't feel the need to purchase the remaster. | Best AC/DC Collection Yet If you can't buy all of AC/DC's albums, but you still want a decent amount of their songs, this is the set for you. The 2 CDs have a total of 23 songs on them from AC/DC's live performances.9 of them have Bon Scott singing, 8 of them have Brian Johnson singing, and the remaining 6 are from the Young brothers only. So it's a pretty well-rounded album. Overall, most of the songs sound almost studio-quality and are worth listening to. A few songs, such as "Shoot To Thrill" and a few others, have quiet vocals for some reason or another. But, on those few songs, the guitars, bass, and drums are still easy to hear. In the end, this is the best AC/DC set out there without having to buy all of their albums individually. It loses 1 star because of the quiet vocals on a few songs. One last thing: the Japanese version of this set comes with the extra track "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" on disc 2. By CD_Music_Freak (Earth) |
| Great Stuff This is probably the second best live album I've ever heard. The best I've listened to is KISS Alive! Great renditions of Thunderstruck, Back In Black, and Hells Bells. Awesome CD By tommycicchitti (Las Vegas, NV) |
| Are you ready for the night line? This CD is one of the best live albums I have heard to date. I thought The Who's Live At Leeds was good. This album blows me away. Angus and that raw electric guitar feel is just something else. Back In Black is one of my favourites, and is played as if by God's axe. Awesome. By gmanparadise (New Zealand) |
