MOTHER'S MILK is dedicated to the memory of the Chili Peppers' original guitarist Hillel Slovak, who died of a heroin overdose in 1988. Mother's Milk songs Slovak (along with original drummer Jack Irons) appears for the last time here on the Jimi Hendrix cover "Fire." Additional personnel includes: Hillel Slovak (guitar); Jack Irons, Fish (drums); Julie Ritter, Gretchen Seager, Wag (background vocals). Definetly My Favorite Chili Pepper Album.
I never Really was a chili pepper fan until I got this.I think all the tracks are great.

A great band....this cd is one heck of a ride!
I was used to the newer sound of the RHCP when I bought this, so at first I found it, shall we say a bit shocking.

The Red Hots in their Prime
Ive got five of their cds cause theyre soo good (and I'm planning to get them all) This one and Californication tie for the best chili peppers cd.
