4 stars lot of blues and a little bit of gospel
I feel like movin' on starts out like a blues version of elevator music, or perhaps dentist office stuff. You know? That instrumental back-up-the-headliner stuff we all know from all them shows we'be been to.... But, that's not it. It's about movin' on, in music, in blues, in deep, heart tuggin,' gut wrenchin,' reachin' blues...seams sewed in bawdy, lawdy, ballin,' wailin,' cryin,' singin' instrumentals, with one exception. Somewhere in the middle of the cd, The Imperials pop in a rich and enriching gospel ditty called Mary Don't You Cry that is reminiscent of some of what old Leadbelly did. You'll be swayin' in the pews. I picked up the CD on account of I heard Wolf Dance....I dig the entire thing.

I`ve allways loved Ronnies guitar style. It`s solid as a rock! This is an awesome record filled with nice guitar licks twistin`and turnin` like a rattlesnake! Who said that a white man can`t get the blues! Mr Earl shure can!.
