Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English Bill Rago, an unemployed advertising exec, accepts a job teaching English to a group of crude, intelligence-free Army privates. Rago eventually converts them (using Shakespeare), and has a positive effect on their personal lives in the process. An unemployed advertising executive (Danny DeVito) takes a job teaching an underachieving class of Army recruits in this fish-out-of-water story. His radical tactics, though frowned on by the Army, help the students learn, and in turn the kids teach him a thing or two. The film was shot at Fort Jackson in South Carolina where real soldiers were used as extras.
Released in USA June 3, 1994.
Dolby Recording. Shot in Technicolor.

Gulf War Propaganda This film was released during the controversy of the Gulf War, and in mentioning the heroic deeds of American soldiers during the Vietnam War, it is a vehicle for government propaganda. There are a number of of alluding examples, such as the initial high expectations of the teacher from the students, equivalent of an officer, the punishment for being cowardly, exhibiting non "Renaissance Man" or American behaviour and such a high praise of graduating recruits when the "guardians of the future" and people of the past are mentioned.

He gets assigned by Admiral Winslow (Rip Torn) to command his own submarine; unfortunately, this sub is a rusting 1958 diesel model that the Navy wants to engage in war games to find out if it could inflict any damage. $7.09 This remake of Mel Brooks' 1968 film features Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick in the roles that they originated in the smash Broadway adaptation of the original film. Broadway producer Max Bialystock (Lane) is famous for his spectacular opening night flops. Leopold Bloom (Broderick) is an uptight accountant who virtually discovers gold while reviewing Max's books. When Leo realizes that you can actually make more money with a flop than with a hit, the two team up and begin a search for both the worst script and the worst director they can find to ensure failure. The script selection seems easy when the duo stumble upon SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER, an homage to the Fuhrer penned by Franz Liebkind (Will Ferrell), a German sympathetic to the Nazi cause. Convinced that the script will incite outrage, the duo needs a bad director to seal the deal. Campy director Roger DeBris (Gary Beach) and his assistant (Roger Bart) fit the bill perfectly.
But when their scheme fails, Max and Leo find themselves with the worst possible outcome: a hit. To make matters worse, Franz is just a little peeved that Hitler was depicted disrespectfully--and ...
