Ryoko Moriyama Best Collection album
$11.99 Joao Gilberto is perhaps forever destined to be lesser known to casual jazz fans than his occasional collaborator Stan Getz (whose GETZ/GILBERTO albums introduced the United States to bossa nova) and his ex-wife Astrud Gilberto (whose shy, delicate voice made her one of the most distinctive and beloved jazz vocalists of the '60s). However, true fans of Brazilian music recognize that Gilberto is second only to Antonio Carlos Jobim as a writer and interpreter of traditional Brazilian music and Brazilian-influenced jazz.
These two albums, collected in full on one CD, are among Gilberto's best solo albums. Alternating between standards like "'S Wonderful" ...

Ryoko Moriyama Best Collection CD music
$9.05 The Italian version of EROS contains 2 songs that do not appear on the Spanish version. It also contains 8 songs that are completely re-recorded.
At the height of his popularity, after establishing a fan base for himself across much of Western Europe as well as parts of the Spanish-language world, Italian singer/songwriter Eros Ramazzotti took some time off during the late '90s and released Eros, a greatest-hits compilation comprised primarily of newly recorded material. The 16-track compilation is comprised of five songs that appear in their original versions, nine that have ...

$14.89 The debut album by the High Kings was issued by the same folks who had a hand in Celtic Woman and Riverdance, and consists of easy listening and buffed-and-polished Irish folk music of appeal to an audience that is comparatively massive for the world music fringe: this album made the lower levels of the Billboard ...

| | Pine Mountain Railroad Old Radio CD (2003)
Ryoko Moriyama Best Collection songs
$13.45 Principally recorded at Mountainside Audio Labs, Nashville, Tennessee.
To outsiders, one bluegrass band sounds a lot like the next. Banjos, mandolins, and high tenors blend together to create a rough mix of backwoods music. To those in the know, however, subtle differences separate the chaff from the wheat. Pine Mountain Railroad, for instance, adopts the music of Bill Monroe, adds a few contemporary touches, and tops it off with genuine emotion on The Old Radio. And like old radio itself, the band mixes traditional songs with originals and throws in an occasional cover just for the fun of it. The upbeat "All the Hay's in the Barn" jump-starts the album with nice group harmony, fancy banjo picking, and a nice lead by writer Jim Whaley. The title cut pays homage ...

$43.35 | | Front 242 Headhunter 2000 CD (1998) (Import)
Ryoko Moriyama Best Collection album
$30.19 HEADHUNTER 2000 is a collection of remixes of the band's 1989 HEADHUNTER album.
A collection of 17 different remixes of the same song may seem a bit extreme, but nobody said it couldn't ever be done. Headhunter 2000 actually compiles the contents of four different CD singles in one place as a convenience for American buyers, and while only the most hardcore Front 242 fan would necessarily want it, it still has some definite winners. "Headhunter" itself, of course, is Front 242's trademark song and always will be, so if you're going to have a project like this in the first place, might as well go for the best, in this case in its "2000" version with slightly different lyrics, first introduced on Live Code. Most of the remixes keep the stuttering mock-string bassline and/or enough of the memorable chorus to ensure that there's at least some interest in the end results. The other big advantage is that a slew of modern industrial, EBM, and techno outfits get together to ...
