Essence of jazz guitar trio
There's nothing quite like a well-produced live jazz record. Bassist Don Thompson recorded this trio's appearances over a full week at a Toronto club, and eventually, they all forgot that recording was happening, leading to a completely free approach that includes humor, chance-taking that borders on the dangerous, and some miraculous communication.
