| | Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 CD
Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 is a sun-dappled funfest of 14 tracks, featuring memorable singalongs like "I'm a Little Teapot" and "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes." While most of the tracks are led by a honey-voiced female, the standout lead-off track, "There's a Bear in There," does include a duet with a male vocalist. Other highlights are a sweeping version of "Singing in the Rain," complete with string section, and "Miss Polly Had a Dolly," which is guided by a lilting Renaissance melody. The song would be perfect if it only included a harpsichord. ~ Johnny Loftus Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 Music Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 Music Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 Review

Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 CD music
$11.35 This is a nice changeup. The Innocence Mission return with a benefit collection of cover songs that are all centered reverie akin to dreaming. Calling them all lullabies would be stretching a little bit, but the presentations are such that they might as well be. Don and Karen Peris and bassist Mike Bitts craft an absolutely beguiling collection of standards. The readings of "Over the Rainbow," "Wonderful World," and "Moon River" form a gorgeous sequence. The inclusion of an instrumental, Chopin's Prelude in A, is a choice moment as well (played beautifully by Don), and is followed by a haunting, nostalgic version of Michel Legrand's "Once Upon a Summertime." The one original on the set, Karen's "My Love Goes With You," is a lullaby proper and is perhaps the most beautiful and tender song on the outing. That it's followed by "Edelweiss" is only fitting. The title track is, appropriately, the set's closer. ...

Winner of a 1991 Parents' Choice Gold AwardRed Grammer is an award-winning singer and songwriter with a clear alike, Red is a skilled performer with an outstanding tenor that is recognized as one of the best in the business. Raised in Little Silver, New Jersey, Red completed his first two years of college at Rutgers University and then transferred to Beloit College in Wisconsin where he met his wife and co-lyricist, Kathy, a special education teacher. They began collaborating on children's music while Red was still lead vocalist for the legendary folk group, The Limeliters. Believing that other children might enjoy the songs, games and fingerplays that they had written for their young son, Red and Kathy released their first album, CAN YOU SOUND JUST LIKE ME?, in 1983. Introduced on National Public Radio's All Things Considered, their first recording was received with open arms by the critics. They still did not view themselves as children's musicians -- just musicians. That would soon change. Encouraged to write another album for children and inspired by "The Promise of World Peace" statement issued by the Baha'i' World Community, Red and Kathy set out to create an album illustrating what children and their ...

Just 4 Kids, Vol. 1 album
$10.09 Ashley MacIsaac is, in a sense, the musical representative of the pre-millenial generation of Eastern Canada. An ardent traditionalist with a penchant, nevertheless, for experimentation, this Nova Scotian native has been taught to play the fiddle the working-class, pub-stomp Cape Breton way: fast, furious and with phenomenal precision. He is one of the top selling Canadian Roots & Traditional artists in Canada of all time - right up there with Loreena McKennitt and The Rankin Family, having ...
