 Fab five classics
When opening up my Box. It felt like christmas, back in 1984 at the age of 14 years old. To a Duran Duran fan like myself. This was a wonderful investment. Maybe to some it may not be money well worth it. But to a true Duran Duran Fan it surely is!!!Duran Duran Collectors everywhere this is a must have for your Duran Duran Library!! Each b side is in individual sleeves of the original 45 artwork. It is Duran Duran nostaglia at its best!!! Fabulous rare duran duran b sides!! Now, if we can only get all their old rare music videos on DVD that would truely be a collectors Dream!!!! Long Live the original fab five!!!

 A Must for Collectors
If you are a serious collector of Duran Duran material, then this box set is a 'must have'. Neatly packaged in a shiny black box, the 13 CD singles are presented in sleeves reproducing the original 45 rpm single sleeve art. Even the original record labels are reproduced on the CDs themselves. Musically, most of the 40 songs included here are already available on existing albums, but it is the B sides and rarities that make this set worth getting. These songs, languishing for nearly 20 years on vinyl only, have finally seen a quality CD release. The standout tracks have to be the cover of the Bowie song 'Fame', an acoustic version of 'The Chauffeur' and 'Faith In This Colour'. Other tracks worth noting include the single version of 'My Own Way' (curiously left off 'Greatest'), 'Rio (part 2)' and 'Tiger Tiger' (a version very different to the one on 'Seven And The Ragged Tiger'). There's not much here for you if you weren't a Duran Duran fan to begin with; the songs firmly belong in their era and it really shows how awful Simon's voice was in those days (compared to now). If you have the rest of their albums, this goes some way to completing your collection, at least until the new album comes out next year.

 Duran Duran's Boxed Goodies--Something for Everyone
It was a time of decadence. It was a time of excess. It was a time where sex, drugs, rock-n-roll, and supermodel dating was in its prime. And standing in the middle of this whirlwind of lust, desire, and debauchery is Duran Duran. Their craft of new wave, synth-pop will never be rivaled. Filling in the void that disco left (John Taylor picked the bass up do to Chic's late, great Bernard Edwards) and combining the looks and savvy of Roxy Music and the infamous diamond dog himself, David Bowie, Duran Duran scored a number of classic, top-of-the-chart pop hits. The songs, ranging from the sexy "Girls on Film" and "Hungry Like the Wolf" to the bass thumping of "Rio" and "A View to a Kill" (consequently, the only James Bond theme song to hit number 1 in the States)to the lovely and vulnerable "Save a Prayer" are surely the perfect fit for anyone who grew up in the 80's. And yet, the music has aged well and anyone (regardless of age) who has any sense of style and perfect pop sense in today's world of "perfect pop" will totally enjoy this 13-disc gem. The packaging is perfect, from the sleek black flip top box right down to the replication of the '45 single's sleeve artwork. A must have for any lover of pop music.
