A Reference for good album, rockers learn from it, blues-man's bible

That review that this website supplies implies that Al Kooper is not a talented vocalist. I don't own this album, but Al Kooper is one of the best vocalists of genre and an incredible musical mastermind. Commercialism, I could live without it.

| ONE OF THE GREATEST CD'S EVER

| Bloomfield Brilliance / Overall Dissapointment
I purchased this disc based on the superior guitar work of Mike Bloomfield with the Butterfield Blues Band. It is an odd mix of sounds and song selection.While Bloomfield shines on guitar, Stills and Bloomfield are not on any cuts together. The cuts Stills is on are dissapointing. Steven never really gets to let it loose and flat out play like we know he can.1/2 the cuts are worth the listen the other 1/2 , maybe not. If you just can't get enough of Mike Bloomfields biting blues guitar then this a disc for you. But do not expect to hear anything special from Stills . Wish Al Kooper would have given Steven more to work with.
