| | Crazy Mary Knucklehead CD Crazy Mary Discography of CDs
All of Crazy Mary's impulsive musical proclivities -- eclecticism and eccentricity chief among them -- are as much in play as ever on Knucklehead, the band's fifth full-length outing, sometimes maddeningly so. Co-leaders Charles Kibel and George Kerezman split the songwriting duties pretty well right down the middle, so while the stylistic consistency may leave something to be desired, the songs cover a lot of ground, and usually in splendid, carefree fashion. "Invisible" has almost a klezmer or Eastern European feel with Walter Steding's forlorn, omnipresent violin accompaniment, and the far-out "Land of Jagged Mountains," featuring Steding again as well as Kibel's electric sitar, explores spirituality and Middle Eastern modality, but elsewhere Crazy Mary goes all brassy and buoyant, utilizing the New York Horns for the funk blowout "When the Shit Hits the Fan" and antiapocalypse "Duck and Cover." The novelty "Brian Jones" is a hoot, too, making good use of the proverbial Bo Diddley beat, and the band follows it up with the faux-innocent "Let's All Have a Party," a breezy proapocalypse tune that reproduces down to the backing handclap early rock & roll balladry, conceptually a pretty inspired sequence. The title track reinvents surf music as swank go-go pop, and, except for the vocals, "Still Water" does Chicago blues surprisingly convincingly. Kibel even gives hip-hop a shot on "Angel in Disguise," even if it sounds more like an aged EMF. Knucklehead certainly won't lose one of New York's favorite garage bands any fans, and it's easy to imagine it gaining them a few. ~ Stanton Swihart CRAZY MARY is proud to release its latest recording, 'KNUCKLEHEAD." Knucklehead music CDs
$11.49 ABOUT TONY LINDSAYIn late 2005 , the highly anticipated debut solo effort by Santana front man, Tony Lindsay was released. From the crossover first single "Crush" to the flamenco-tinged "Seniorita Sings the Blues" this self-titled release delivers Lindsay's strongest material to date. Guitar great Chris Cain and Santana member Andy Vargas lend their talents, but it's Tony Lindsay who makes the project special. Lindsay, who has 11 Grammys on his mantle after spending 15 years as Santana's front man, says it was while recording the multi-platinum "Supernatural" CD that he got the idea for his project. Aside from performing and co-writing two of the songs on the hit CD, Lindsay paid close attention to all the varied performers. They all had a different sound, and that helped create an album that you could put on in a car and the kids, and parents and grandparents all had something to like. I think that's why "Supernatural" hit so big. Lindsay had written a group of personal songs that he felt was some of his strongest material ever. He'd also been working on various projects with some talented young producers like Ben Yonas, Myron Dove and Randy Emata. “I figured each of these producers was great, but they had different sounds”, explains Lindsay. “I hoped that by letting them produce their own individual cuts, I could have a CD full of different sounds that would please a varied group of people. And since I had written all the songs with them, I was the common thread that would keep it all together.”The individual producers did their own mixes and the result is a CD of gorgeous production values that beautifully showcase the extraordinary range, depth and emotion of Tony Lindsay's ...

Barry won first prize by correctly identifying the mathematical theorem for the weight of mint jelly...Originally the brain trust behind eighties pop warhorse, the Wind, Lane & Steve took a detour from music and wound up in international banking. The global equities group, Brazillo Inc., was sold in 1999. Now both financially secure, they are pursuing their original goal, opening a Vietnamese cooking school. The fall season is almost filled up, so write immediately to insure a space...THE REAL STORY?????? It started in Miami, Florida, back in the eighties.
