Nick Stark, a successful gay architect, has just been diagnosed with full-blown AIDS, and doesn't have long to live. When Nick's healthy lover, Brandon, hears the news, he dumps Nick instantly.
Undaunted, Nick decides to throw a 2-day party, inviting his closest friends and family -- including his father, who disapproves of Nick's sexual orientation. The result is an emotional gathering filled with laughter and tears, as the diverse guests celebrate Nick's life, and come to terms with his illness.
However, Nick knows that his party -- and his existence -- isn't complete without Brandon. But only time will tell if Brandon feels the same way...
When a gay man with AIDS learns he's contracted a brain disease which will quickly worsen his condition, he throws himself a two-day farewell party. Friends and family gather to offer their unique good-byes, the most touching of which comes from the man's former mate.
Released in the USA on March 29, 1996. The film grossed $512,937 domestically.
