| A Tale of Hoffman
Quiet, heartwrenching drama about a man (Hoffman) seeking direction in life after the suicide of his wife. Constantly descending into a condition of gas sniffing oblivion, he tries to come to terms with his grief, his mother-in-law and the bitter truth that some explanations in life evade us... Tour-de-force starring vehicle - if there ever was one - for Hoffman who is nothing less than terrific (being in almost every scene of the film), surrounded by a superb supporting cast (Bates, Tobolowsky).
