A LANDMARK IN ROCK N' ROLL HISTORY
THIS ALBUM IS 100% BALLS TO THE WALL ROCK N' ROLL. from FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (which I think is the greatest rock and roll song ever written) to SNOWBALLED, BREAKING THE RULES, this album is magnificent! Brian is dead on with his voice, the ferocity of Angus's guitar riffs, just amazing.

Classic
If you claim to be an AC/DC fan and have only heard two of these songs you are not a TRUE AC/DC fan! No it is not as good as Back In Black, but it is a damn good follow-up! C.O. D, Put The Finger On You etc.

Toughest job done pretty well
How does a band follow one of the greatest albums of all time? Continue with the same formular that has made them so great.

We salute you too... AC/DC!
This is AC/DC's most weirdest album of all time! My brothers, friends, and me said this album doesn't sound like AC/DC at all, but all of the songs are cool.

HARD AND HEAVY!!!!!
this is one of ac/dc's best albums. It may not be good as BLB but as cool guitar riffs and would make your ears bleed.

For Those About To Rock We Salute You songs After the untimely death of former enigmatic vocalist Bon Scott, AC/DC finally chanced upon a worthy replacement in the shape of former Geordie frontman, Brian Johnson. The result was more than the formal pastiche some expected, with Johnson stamping his own personality, not to mention distinctive rasp, on the record. The band's staple lyrical diet of sex and the general pursuit of happiness, however, remained very much intact. Highlights include the stomping 'Hell's Bells', the quiet build of the title track, and the chuckling insolence of, 'Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution'. A winning return. AC/DC's 1980 album digitally remastered and reissued in a special digipak plus a 16 page full color booklet containing all original album art, many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia and new 2003 liner notes. It will always be a mystery how a grown man can spend his life wearing a school tie and short pants and receive adulation from the heavy metal fraternity. HM followers do not tolerate a cissy, yet the hugely talented Angus Young has become something of a hero. His riff-laden fills, combined with the tough vocals of the late Bon Scott, made AC/DC one of the genre's all-time leading lights. Bordering on the lighter side of metal, songs such as 'Love Hungry Man', 'Touch Too Much' and the title track will always delight. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Recorded at Roundhouse Studios, London, England in 1979. Originally released as Atlantic (19244). The 2003 edition of HIGHWAY TO HELL includes liner notes by Ernie Welch. For Those About To Rock We Salute You buy CD music This is a Hyper CD, which contains regular audio tracks and also provides a link to the artist's website with the help of a web browser. The 2003 edition of HIGH VOLTAGE includes liner notes by Murray Engelheart. HIGH VOLTAGE was the first chance America had to glimpse the raw power of Australia's best hard rock outfit. From their earliest days, lead guitarist Angus Young, a spastic dwarf-like riff-monger who wore nothing but traditional schoolboy attire, led this band of hooligans with gleeful perversity and balls-out ambition. The group's intent is perfectly clear from the disc's opening power chords: to distill rock and mutate the blues down to its barest essentials in a pulverizing whomp. Riding over the top of the battering rhythm section is the all-too-true sneer of vocalist Bon Scott, who brings sexist anthems to a previously unachieved high (or low, depending on your reference point). With over-the-top show-stoppers about gonorrhea ("The Jack"), HIGH VOLTAGE is not for the faint of heart. The single from this record, "T.N.T," got AC/DC into rock radio rotation and gave metal fans a template of the brand of molten lava the band would later weld into perfection. The formula for which the group would eventually become famous--songs based around three crunching power chords and the high-pitched squeal of a man who sounds like he's just been unleashed from the reformatory--is firmly established here. All tracks have been digitally remastered. AC/DC: Bon Scott (voclas); Malcolm Young, Angus Young (guitar); Mark Evans (bass); Phil Rudd (drums). For Those About To Rock We Salute You album for sale This is a Hyper CD, which contains regular audio tracks and also provides a link to the artist's website with the help of a web browser. Recorded in 1976. Originally released as Atlantic (16033). Includes liner notes by David Wild. Although it wasn't released stateside until '81, DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP is an Australian compilation recorded in the mid-70's. By the time of its U.S. release, singer Bon Scott had already died of alcohol poisoning and the band had emerged from the tragedy with new singer Brian Johnson and the stunning BACK IN BLACK. This album then, perhaps inadvertently, serves as an epitaph for the late, tattoo-emblazoned singer. And there is no more fitting eulogy than the title track, which captures Scott in all his raunchy glory. Full of ill will, Scott snakes his way through a nasty tale of revenge. He's only too happy to provide TNT, concrete, cyanide, whatever it takes really, to get the job done. As he snarls, growls, and finally squeals, "high voltage!" Scott is immortalized in complete reptilian glee. Though the title tracks alone makes the album essential; there are other significant merits. The utterly tasteless hilarity of "Big Balls" is a not-so-subtle pun Beavis and Butthead would undoubtedly have worshipped. "Ride On" is a toned down blouse groove that is complete out of step with AC/DC's usual onslaught. All in all, DIRTY DEEDS is a fine collection that shows these Australian bad boys doing what they do best. All tracks have been digitally remastered. AC/DC: Bon Scott (vocals); Angus Young, Malcolm Young (guitar); Mark Evans (bass); Phil Rudd (drums). Personnel: Bon Scott (vocals); Malcolm Young, Angus Young (guitar); Phil Rudd (drums). For Those About To Rock We Salute You CD music This is a Hyper CD, which contains regular audio tracks and also provides a link to the artist's website with the help of a web browser. If possible, AC/DC actually made their sound denser on its sophomore effort, LET THERE BE ROCK. A darker album than its predecessor, HIGH VOLTAGE, this album leans further towards AC/DC's twisted extension in the blues tradition. Which is not to say that the band relented from its three-chord power riffing for one millisecond. The presence of Angus Young's mighty Gibson SG looms over the album like a sheet of lead on a windless day. What has changed is the inclusion of longer songs like "Go Down," "Dog Eat Dog," and the floor rattling "Let There be Rock," all of which feature ripping interplay between Bon Scott's perverse howl and Young's straight for the throat guitar lines. Where others hint at hormone-driven themes of lust and adolescent rebellion, AC/DC revel in them with abandon. Thus "Bad Boy Boogie" and "Problem Child" are songs your parents are sure to hate with heartfelt passion. The album's highlights are "Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be," a mighty fist-waver whose references to warmer climates are something that only the most uptight will take seriously and the near classic "Whole Lotta Rosie," which would become one of the band's live staples and show-stoppers. 2003 remastered reissue of 1977 album packaged in a digipak with 16 page full color booklet containing all original album art, many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and liner notes. For Those About To Rock We Salute You buy CD music This is a Hyper CD, which contains regular audio tracks and also provides a link to the artist's website with the help of a web browser. With AC/DC's third release, POWERAGE, the band was dispensing even heftier ammo from their hook-laden cartridge belt. With the rock-steady rhythm section pounding out 4/4 beats as if it were overtaking a small country, guitarists (and brothers) Angus and Malcolm Young trade towering riffs that belie their pint-sized physical stature. The real change on POWERAGE is a noted improvement in songwriting skill. The six-minute "Down Payment Blues" actually has a sense of restraint and building tension, as opposed to the band's usual hit-the-ground running approach. "Sin City," an ode to Las Vegas, features the band's most colorful lyrics (that don't have to do with bathroom humor, that is) and again displays a dynamic variety not previously heard from the Aussie rockers. The more familiar pounders, "Rock 'n Roll Damnation," "Riff Raff," and "What's Next to the Moon" are tighter, focused bursts of energy that point towards the total mastery of the form the band would display on its next release, HIGHWAY TO HELL. 2003 remastered reissue of 1978 album packaged in a digipak with 16 page full color booklet containing all original album art, many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and liner notes.
