Progressive Metal
Opeth is by far the most technical and progressive band to date. They combine accoustic guitars with the fury of death metal.

Let's get one thing straight - I used to HATE death metal. Then I heard Still Life. OMG this is one of my favorite albums of all time! The heavy stuff's EXCELLENT, as is the calm stuff, Mikael Akerfeldt has one of the best voices in all of heavy metal (and dare I say all the music world), the music is complex enough to hear over and over and STILL find interesting, the songs last JUST the right amount of time and flow perfectly... new Opeth fans, OMG you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't buy this! My favorites - Godhead's Lament and Moonlapse Vertigo.P.S. BUY THIS!!!

This CD has everything.......
It amazes me how Opeth manages to continually produce masterpiece after masterpiece. They are continually evolving while staying true to their sound and art.
