She began her professional career as part of a trio known as Arabesque that garnered as much popularity in Japan as Abba in the early 1980's. The group released an amazing 15 albums between 1979 and 1985 along with 13 singles and a number of 12" singles as well. This would prove to be fertile learning ground for her future solo career.
