The German power metal act's 2003 album featuring 12 tracks to mark the triumphant return to their beloved sound. Nuclear Blast.

Personnel: Andreas Deris (vocals); Michael Weikath, Sascha Gerstner (guitar); Jorn Ellerbrock (keyboards); Stefan Schwarzmann, Mark Cross, Mikkey Dee (drums); Rolf Kohler (background vocals).
Audio Mixer: Charly Bauerfeind.
Recording information: Mi Sueno Studio, Tenerife, Es (2002-2003).
Photographer: Roger Mendez.
After well over a dozen albums, Helloween still has an impressive knack for grafting memorably anthemic choruses over full-throttle power metal. What's more, their quieter, more melodic moments never dissolve into schmaltzy sentimentality (a mistake made too often by the band's many followers); the ballad "Don't Stop Being Crazy" has a certain pathos without being corny. The group's chops are in top form on Rabbit Don't Come Easy (aided by moonlighting Motörhead skinsman Mikkey Dee), but the quality of the songs is what leaves the strongest impression. ~ Andy Hinds

CMJ (5/19/03, p.28) - "...RABBIT DON'T COME EASY could pass for vintage Helloween, thanks to vocalist Andi Deris's many high notes and the plentiful Judas Priest-style riffs..."

5 stars One of their best yet.
With Helloween one never knows what to expect with their next release. The possibilities range from masterpieces (Keeper albums) to ridiculous (Pink Bubbles) to powerful (Better than raw) to dark ( The dark ride). I had reservations about this release because the title had me fearing a return to Heavy Metal Hamsters. My concerns were dispelled immediately once I started listening, and I was pleasantly surprised. This album is filled with the catchy power metal that Helloween is known for. To my ears there's only one disappointing song, Liar, and it's not awful. Highly recommended.

3 stars Not the best Helloween, but still OK
Helloween has made usual and common to release great albums without matter the musical trends of the times. That makes the "pumpkin dudes" one of the best metal bands today. Helloween always made their own party, and it was a hell of a party let me say... eventhough, this last album "Rabbit don´t come easy" has let me down a little bit. The songs ain´t that great (with the exception of "open your life, track n. 2 which is an instant classic)the lyrics are aweful (a usual high point on Helloween releases since their first records), this fact shows in the opening track (just a little sign", such a great song with such stupid lyrics) It just brings down the whole song... The lyrics on "Do you feel good" are the worst Helloween lyrics that i ever heard. There are a couple of good tunes(Just a little sign, open your life, never be a star), and some just grow on you with time(the tune, listen to the flies, nothing to say, liar), but overall, not the best Helloween record by far, it´s still OK,it´s worth the buy, but just doesn´t fit in the high Helloween status they left after "The dark ride". sorry Weiki, but I definiteley liked better Roland Grapow´s and Uli Kusch´s "Masterplan", which by the way is one of the best records I´ve ever heard.

4 stars Same Old Helloween!!
This is the same old Helloween we are used to...although it doesn't bring anything new, I think it's a good album and this is what every Helloween fan wants to hear....they kept the same melodic style songs they are known for....by the way, the guitar solos are awsome as always!!.

2 stars THIS IS NOT THE BEST HELLOWEEN!
I think this is an album made to sell like hot cakes. It has double drums, speed riffs, high vocals, catchy chorus and some other stuff, but it has no spirit. It's an average speed euro metal record, but to be a Helloween record?
