||Slasher as it should always be|
As a former Full Moon fan, I had high expectations for "Bleed", since it was to be my 1st exposure to Charles Band's new production company, Shadow Entertainment. Though Devin Hamilton's style is a radical departure from Band's latest productions for Full Moon ("Stitches", "Shrieker"... ), it was a more than welcome change. From the evisceration intro to Julie Strain's subsequent cameo as the bare-breasted victim of a violent throat slashing, Debbie Rochon's excellent performance as a psycho-fragile killer-in-training, and the final, totally immoral ending, this DTV quickie had the total absence of ethos that every slasher movie fans secretly craves. As a welcome bonus, the abundant nudity (male & female) sends the viewer back to the early days of "Friday the 13th", where it was peremptory that each victim had to bare their best assets before being honoured by the machete. Let's milk those struggling actors for what they've got ! :)) For all B/Z grade horror movie lovers, this one's got my definite recommendation.

||Typical B Thriller|
Bleed video If you search a great "A" movie, try "Terminator" or "Lord of the Rings" Besides, if you like a movie done with no much money and interesting ideas, take a look this one. Sure, there are ugly details ( the characters drink wine in red paper glasses!), but the director try to tell an story in this typical "B" thriller, and teach what with little resources, a digital camera and imagination, maybe, you can make your own and modest movie. "Bleed" works, finally, as a first film maker class. There is more atmosphere than suspense and horror and has some good performings, mainly Debbie Rochon and Dany Wolske, the principal couple. I'd like see them in another type of movie, perhaps a romantic comedy or a drama. They are the best of this small thriller.

Bleed film Well, this movie was really low budget. Some of the shots looked like a streaming video from the internet. You could also see the microphone come into the shots too. The only reason I give it 2 stars instead of one is because this is of GREAT comedic value. I love the beginning with the naked woman, her line is SOOOO funny. I also think the sex scene is hillarious too. And of course, the pool scenes are great too. Bad Quality, bad acting, good for a laugh.
