Spirit Of The Irish - The Ultimate Collection album for sale Product Description
Spirit Of The Irish - The Ultimate Collection album for sale by Dubliners was released May 06, 2003 on the Sanctuary label. The Sanctuary label's 20-track collection spanning the Dubliners' near 40-year career is an excellent overview of what the band became known for: a fiery traditional Irish band rooted firmly in the pub. The Dubliners never left behind that raw sound associated with the pub, nor did they ever attempt to dispel the image of a rowdy bunch of hell-raisers often associated with the band. Spirit Of The Irish - The Ultimate Collection CD music contains a single disc with 20 songs. ...See Full Description

Terrys Through It All CD (2001)
Spirit Of The Irish - The Ultimate Collection album for sale Through It All A Message from the Mother
It began with a tiny violin presented to his oldest son, then 3 ½ years old, a gift from father to son. This was the beginning of the dream the father had, the dream that his children would grow to love music as he had. The little 3 ½ year old boy began taking Suzuki violin lessons with very wonderful teachers. His brothers, ages 2 and newborn, went to his lessons, listened to the music on the tapes and eventually became old enough to inherit that first tiny violin. Their playing infused their brains and became part of them as if they were learning another language.
Then the father began playing his guitar for the sons, teaching them words to popular songs and having them sing. Their favorite song was "Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road" by Louden Wainright III. They sang that song on the stage of the UC Alumni Camp, Lair of the Bear, and played a violin part together that echoed the chorus. It was quite a hit and they became known as "The Dead Skunks". So, with the friendly atmosphere of 300 campers cheering them on and the encouragement from numerous relatives, they continued to expand their repertoire and learned to play other stringed instruments.
It wasn't all easy though. There were years when the boys' voices were changing and they could not sing together. Their classical violin training became a larger part of their lives and they flourished in the local community college symphony. Again, the encouragement of the conductor and other orchestra members kept them expanding their interest in all kinds of music.
During the later teenage years, the guitar became more important with the boys playing popular music for friends. The influence from the father continued to surface as he exposed them to some of the great music of the 60's and 70's. Through it All, through the process of years of practice, struggling and growing, the father and sons have begun now to create their own music reflecting and blending all of their musical influences.
This CD has been years in the making. The father, Jim, has had music floating in his head for a longer time and, so has a few more compositions than do the boys. James, the oldest, has composed some very emotional pieces, reflective of the changes he has experienced leaving high school, changing friends, starting at CAL and discovering more about himself and music. Clark, the very busy and anxious son, has composed some of the most beautiful and simple melodies, reflective of his ability to find some inner peace and share it with others. Graham, the youngest son, is featured on the violin in two of the pieces and spent hours listening, advising, mixing and critiquing. We hope you enjoy their music.
The Mother, Debbie
All songs recorded between May, 2000 and May, 2001, in Napa, California, and in Berkeley, California. Multiple guitar tunings used in all guitar pieces - DADGAD, EADEAD, DGDGBD, CGCGCE and standard, creating a distinct orchestral guitar sound. Guitars: Lowden, Larrivee and Martin D-35.

Sutherland Brothers & Ouiver Lifeboat CD (1972)
Spirit Of The Irish - The Ultimate Collection CD music This album should have been the big breakthrough disc for the Sutherland Brothers & Quiver, chock-full of catchy adult pop songs like the fantastic leadoff single, "(I Don't Want to Love You But) You Got Me Anyway," followed by what became a minor hit for Rod Stewart, the second track, "Sailing." With Peter Noone also covering "You Got Me Anyway," the band had the attention of some very musical people but that didn't keep this truly remarkable album from staying off the radar screen of the record-buying public. Steve Winwood and John "Rabbit" Bundrick are thanked on the back, along with others, but there's no mention if they are playing on this really superb record -- it sure sounds like they are with more than a few hints of Traffic and Free finding their way between the grooves. This original rendition of "Sailing" is more primitive than Rod Stewart's near-gospel approach, and the lonely drumbeat adds a mood that reflects the classic cover art of a small rescue craft defying the gods of the sea. "Real Love" sounds like a Traffic outtake, and with Muff Winwood handling the production chores as he did with Dream Kid, the follow-up album, this intriguing disc gives the world ten more portions of Quiver and the Sutherland Brothers' interesting blend of music. Lifeboat is a record that cries to be released on a compact disc with Dream Kid, though a CD booklet would hardly do justice to the cover painting, "Pride of Our Isles" by Bernard Gribble, on loan by "kind permission of Royal National Lifeboat Institute." The picture of hopelessness is worth a thousand words, and while "Real Love" closes out side one with a great hook, and "Have You Had a Vision" and the title track show depth and integrity on side two, it's the first song on the album, "You Got Me Anyway," that brings this effort out of the realm of very good projects up to the level of classic. All Music Guide has this album listed as 1972 with four different tracks, so it may have been re-released. The original lineup noted by AMG has "A Lady Like You," "Lifeboat," "Where Do We Go Wrong," "Ireland," "All I Got Is You," "Space Hymn," "Change the Wind," "Sailing," "Love Is My Religion," and "Real Love." This review is for the 1973 disc, which has "You Got Me Anyway," "Have You Had a Vision," "Not Fade Away," and "Rock and Roll Show" in place of "Ireland," "Love Is My Religion," "A Lady Like You," and "All I Got Is You." ~ Joe Viglione
1998 reissue of melodic, folk/ pop album by the brothers whooriginally composed & recorded 'Sailing' (featured here), which was later a smash hit for Rod Stewart. Originally released in 1977, it contains 10 tracks, including 'Lady Like You' and 'Lifeboat'. Both the original & this pressing are on Columbia.

Ian Allen Nova's Lounge CD (2006)
Spirit Of The Irish - The Ultimate Collection buy CD music It's not a surprise that professional athletes occasionally make records: back in the late '70s, Denver Broncos running back Jon Keyworth made a terrible soft rock album called Keys during the team's brief pre-John Elway heyday, and during their 2004 World Series season both pitcher Bronson Arroyo and general manager Theo Epstein of the Boston Red Sox were gigging around town with their own bands. However, there are two big surprises about the debut album from Ian Allen, a minor journeyman player for the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and Arizona Cardinals: rather than the usual lame jock-rock, this is mellow, loungey downtempo electronica. Also, it's really quite good! Allen's tastes run toward skittering drum machines and house beats, but there's also a languid, jazzy quality to most of Nova's Lounge, and that tension keeps the record from drifting too far into shapeless ambience. Allen is a canny synthesist who doesn't stick with one set of influences for very long, preferring to layer a variety of sounds and beats into an enjoyable whole. ~ Stewart Mason
Founder and President - Ian AllenBeginning Star...As far back as I can remember I have always had a love and passion for music. It started in 1983 when I was five years old and would pretend I was a disc jockey trying to entertain everyone around me. But it wasn't till the sixth grade that I decided to actually put this gift to use. That was when I started to play the saxophone. From that moment on I have never looked back. From middle school to high school I was in the marching band. Not only was I in it but I ruled it, making all state and honor band.
But first thing's first: my passion for music is matched only by my passion for football. I'm fortunate and honored to play on the O-Line for the Philadelphia Eagles and I'm a four year pro in the NFL, having amassed earlier experience with the Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants before moving to the Eagles in September 2004.
My career has also allowed me to indulge a passion for travel, including a three month stint with the Scottish Claymores in the NFL Europe League in 2002. Not only did I have the opportunity to live and work in a great city, Glasgow, it was also where I met my wife Joelle.
Slipping back a few years, my life came to a defining crossroad when I went to Purdue for college. Due to the demanding schedule necessary for football I could not join the marching band. But I didn't let this stop my commitment to music, instead I took it to the next level. I began to study theater sound design which opened up my eyes to another level of music: digitized music. So while I was still playing the instruments myself I was now able to engineer them into the smooth beats I was hearing in my head.
Just because I play football doesn't mean I am just a football player. At college I was laying down sizzling beats which lead me to become the dorm d.j. for Wiley Hall. After I left college I stayed with my original dream of creating hot music.
I use my football playing to fuel my music. Can you imagine anything more inspiring then the sounds on a football field or the emotions that go into a game....the highs, the lows, the hits, the grabs. Music for me is twofold its my battle cry and my escape from the battle.
Nova 53The name of my company is a tribute to my mother. Not only was she a great mom but as a flute player she inspired my lifelong obsession for music. Nova Angel - was her alias and I wanted the name of my company to always remind me of that original unadulterated love for her and music that started me down this path.
