Blumenkraft album
$8.39 By the time of this 1981 debut solo album, David Lindley had literally lent his distinctive guitar sound to hundreds of other artists' recordings. His earliest work was in the '60s, with Kaleidoscope (US), but it is perhaps his role as accompanist for Jackson Browne that has earned him the most recognition. Lindley's love for--and knowledge ...

Blumenkraft CD music
$8.99 This is the sort of country music that could only be made by musicians who grew up listening to the Eagles instead of Hank Williams. Which is to say slick, tuneful, and gorgeously sung. These guys aren't, like some contemporary Nashville acts, afraid of mandolins and steel guitars.
This album collects most of their best known efforts, including the classic breakup song "I Can Sure Smell the Rain." Three new songs recorded specifically for the album are featured, in particular "Ships of Heaven," a big inspirational finale complete with gospel backup vocals that was inspired by composer/band member Van Stephenson's recent bout with melanoma.
Additional personnel includes: Carl Marsh (conductor); Dale Oliver (acoustic & electric guitars); Biff Watson, Larry Beard (acoustic guitar); Dann Huff, Brent Mason (electric guitar); Paul Franklin (steel guitar); Mary Ann Kennedy (mandolin); Randy Howard, Joe Spivey, Aubrey Haynie (fiddle); Nashville String Machine (strings); Terry McMillan (harmonica, percussion); Mike Chapman, Glenn ...

| | Fluke Puppy CD (2003) (Import) United Kingdom
Blumenkraft songs
$27.59 PUPPY is a 2003 release by British indie-dance act Fluke, featuring the first single "Switch."
The opening cut by this long overdue release from electronica second runners Fluke does its best to sound like 1999 Prodigy with its dark rock vocals and gritty breakbeats. A little investigation reveals that much of this album was in fact, first recorded as a set of demos, entitled Xmas Demos in, you guessed it, 1999. Fortunately, Fluke doesn't simply mimic the Prodigy's platinum-selling template, although very little of this album feels modern by any stretch. ...

Blumenkraft CD music
$13.65 The music on this CD is a bit of a surprise. Pianist Phil Markowitz is perhaps best known in jazz for his lyrical and melodic playing years ago behind Chet Baker. He has also worked with Phil Woods, Joe Williams, Joe Lovano, David Liebman, and Ravi Coltrane, among others. On Catalysis, Markowitz interacts with his regular trio, contributing harmonically adventurous originals that inspire the musicians to create complex improvisations. Somehow the three players generally ...

Blumenkraft album
$16.45 PresentationThis CD includes sixteen works that I composed between 1997 and 2008, of a total of approximately thirty works that complete my current catalogue. It is a very wide selection that considers several chamber configurations, music for solo instruments, mixed electroacoustic works and computer music. These pieces were premiered and recorded in different countries such as the United States, Germany, France or Chile. Many of them were especially composed for the participant performers in this CD, and in some cases in a very tight composer/performer collaboration, that has benefited me tremendously. The title of this release, UniSono, comes directly from the idea of only one source, or several sources that somehow coincide and it adequately represents the gist or conducting thread of the works included in this release. One way or the other, all the works on this CD seek to explore and expand the sonic possibilities of one or more sources in order to generate new musical contexts for them, especially through the use of computer technology. The idea of presenting acoustic instruments under new musical and more complex contexts is something that has interested me since the beginning of my musical career. This interest me, not only from a musical perspective, but also from a global point of view, after observing how certain methods, objects and beliefs very rooted in our culture have been modified by computers and digital technology. Disc A contains works of a more acoustical character, while disc B has mixed works and computer or acousmatic music.More information about this release is available at http://www.rodrigocadiz.com/unisonoRodrigo F.
