Suffering game Product Information
In the tradition of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry comes The Suffering, a survival horror game set in a haunted penitentiary. Players must not only confront the spirits of executed inmates while advancing through the game's nine levels, but also fellow criminals on death row, prison guards, and other characters. The 12 supernatural creatures in the game were designed by the legendary Stan Winston, best known for his Academy Award-winning work in Aliens, Jurassic Park, and A.I. Players are cast in the role of a troubled inmate named Torque, who has been condemned to death for a crime he may or may not have committed. ...See Full Description

Its amazing. it and Manhunt are THE best games. They are good for shoot em up and sadistic people but they make great fun. The Suffering is scary and unpredictable. Okay the story is a bit weak but since when did ppl care about the story line of games. Anyway if ya havent played it play it and if ya have. i hope ya had as musch fun as i did when you completed it.

|THE SCARIEST ACTION GAME OF 2004|
If you like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, you will like this one a lot. It's fun to play with all the lights out and it's just you and the tv. It's a must have and it's worth it.

Suffering XB Ok, for all you die-hard chop'em up shoot'em full of led gamers. this ones for you. I bought this game the day after it came out, I've already finished the game on Impossible. Great action. but low on substance. ie actual plot to the game. This was more like a blast from the past Doom remake on steroids. Those of you who've played Doom or even Quake can relate or get an idea of where im coming from. To sum it up, you got 1 man vs an entire island of monsters. Playing the game on normal makes almost no sense. an over abundance of ammo, and health kind of made it too easy. now Impossible thats my setting. Don't get me wrong, the game is exciting. pretty scary infact, with flash backs, monsters darting out of no where, and sharp noises to distract you. do not play this game in the dark!! Now down to the good bad and the ugly. the over all game play is great, smooth action nothing that looks odd, player control is outstanding, and the cinima is great. Weapons, you have a small arsonal which in the time setting of the game, these weapons are suitable. meaning there are no ray guns, shoulder fired missles or sub atomic bombs. just your normal killing tools. Axe, Knife, Grenade, M. Cocktail, TNT, Tompson, shotgun and your trusty.357 Mag. . they make short work of most ememies but when in need to switch your in trouble unless you find away to set you controller to switch weapons by pressing a button. Violence in the game. pleanty of it. though I would not recommend this game to anyone under 18 due to the VERY I mean VERY Strong language content... anyone else is welcome. Some things could have been left out. like this anoying phone ring. some lighting in areas could have been better and it would have been nice some more moves with the main character rather than a normal jump and combat roll. Overall I give The Suffering a 4 out of 5 its good but it could have been a lot harder... and some of the Strong language could have been left out.

I randomly bought this game at the store and once I started playing it became addictive. Not only is it creepy and fun, but you want to continue playing. Torque, the main guy, rocks hell! A definite buy, not recommended for children though.
