Marty Friedman Music For Speeding Songs Music For Speeding Music Review Average Rating: (4.4 out of 5 stars) nice cd.. Well, I can count few songs from the album which I can say they are the best of Martey EVER ! but it's not a perfect cd..some of the songs are a bit boring or just "weird", but in the good songs he show up everything he is !! I like this cd, dont miss it ! Submitted by roeedo (Jerusalem, Israel.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

A Marty Friedman Rampage Marty Friedman is amazing, this album is his best by far. Music for speeding has music for everyone's taste. He has what took a while to get used to, but, now I dig it is the techno sounds he has on a few cheergirl rampage is great. It has a total club vibe mixed with amazing Marty guitar. His ballads are some of the most emotion you'll ever hear from a soloist. Marty is so under-rated, this is a must have for any rock guitar fan... Zero to sixty in three seconds. Marty shifts into high metal gear and never lets up. Some instrumental CDs become boring after a while, not Music For Speeding. It's got a nice blend of heavy stuff, melodic ballads, and experimental sounds. I will admit that the techno aspects take a little getting used to, but there are only a few tracks that have it, and there's plenty of rock mixed in with it. Marty proves that he's a unique guitar talent and more than just a metal shredder.

Marty's back at doing what he's good at Marty's back and doing what he's good at. It's a little more adventurious than his last solo works, but, it's refreshing. He doesn't storm through fast appregios like before, this c.d. is more melodic and beautiful. But, totally Marty's style of playing. Any Cacophony, becker, megadeth or just guitar fan, this is a must have. good job Marty. Submitted by retguitars (sterling, ak) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Jason Becker Perpetual Burn CD (1988)
Music For Speeding CD music
$14.55 Cacophony guitarist Jason Becker's all-instrumental solo album is a winner. On Perpetual Burn, Becker gets to stretch out and really show his talents, whereas in Cacophony, with fellow virtuoso Marty Friedman sharing the spotlight, some of the subtleties of Becker's style are lost amid the cluttered speed metal maelstrom. Floating in on a bed of ethereal keyboards, Becker's guitar opens the album with a lyrical solo on the stately "Altitudes." His compositional skills allow the piece to build naturally and make it a coherent, ...

Music For Speeding music CDs
$14.49 The fourth solo release from Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman finds the guitarist mostly repeating the same formula that worked so well on Introduction. This time around, though, there is less emphasis on new age stylings in favor of a more rock-oriented approach. "Rio" is impressive, and the session's best track, "Intoxicated," offers a glimpse of what Friedman sounds like without the metal riffing. ~ Robert Taylor
The fourth solo release from Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman finds the guitarist mostly repeating the same formula that worked so well on Introduction. This time around, though, there is less emphasis on new age stylings in favor of a more rock-oriented approach. With the exception of the impressive "Rio" and "Farewell," there isn't much space here, which he used so well previously. There is also fewer solo space for his accompanying musicians, causing this to be a rather banal session. The vocal tracks "Last September" and "Live and Learn" may have been attempts to add variety; however, the bland ...
| | Liquid Tension Experiment CD (1998)
Music For Speeding songs
$14.15 This is the second of Magna Carta's one-time-only groupings and the second to feature bassist Tony Levin. Fortunately for all concerned, it's light years beyond Black Light Syndrome, which paired Levin with guitarist Steve Stevens and drummer Terry Bozzio in an ill-conceived and poorly executed set of improvisations. There is one such impromptu excursion here, the concluding 28-minute "Three Minute Warning," but even it holds up favorably ...

| | Paul Gilbert Get Out Of My Yard CD (2006)
Music For Speeding CD music
$14.35 Although he's been considered one of the top hard rock/heavy metal guitar shredders since the late '80s, interestingly enough, Paul Gilbert has never issued a completely all-instrumental solo album. And with Gilbert seemingly going in a more songwriting-based direction (as evidenced by his 2005 solo set, Spaceship One), the chances of an all-instrumental release seemed increasingly slim. But as longtime admirers of Gilbert know, it's impossible to predict the next move of this former Racer X and Mr. Big guitarist, ...
