Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Live Action; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Soundtrack French; Soundtrack Spanish; English Subtitles The latest Marvel Comics superhero to hit the big screen is Daredevil (Ben Affleck), a man blinded by a radioactive chemical accident as a young boy but left with superhuman senses and agile acrobatic ability. Like his Marvel compatriot Spider-Man, Daredevil attempts to lead a normal life by day as Matt Murdock, a Hell's Kitchen defense attorney. By night Matt becomes Daredevil, a brooding superhero fighting for justice in the dark and squalid New York streets overrun with vermin and criminal injustice. Wearing a red leather suit and mask, Daredevil leaps from high skyscrapers and tracks his enemies with his radar-like vision, punishing those who are guilty but who he cannot tackle in the courtroom. At the center of the city's villainous underbelly is Daredevil's nemesis Kingpin (Michael Clarke Duncan), and his psychotic, knife-wielding deputy-assassin Bullseye (Colin Farrell). Daredevil fights their powerful forces alone, until he meets Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner of ALIAS fame), a skilled martial artist and sexy superheroine who is after Bullseye and Kingpin for murdering her father. Sparks fly as the two heroes take on the underlords of crime together in this action-packed adventure fantasy that will surely delight fans of SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN, or BATMAN. Daredevil Movie Review Average Rating: (3.4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews I Dare You To Not See This Movie This movie was terrible, especially for people who followed Daredevil before this outrage. The casting was terrible! Ben as Daredevil is like putting Nic Cage as Ghost Rider- Oh wait...! Although Michael Clark Duncan is seriously talented, in the comics Kingpin is not a jacked, 8-foot tall african american guy(no offense to Mike)!!!!! Action was less than decent but I give them their props for even remembering to put sum in there! Somewhere, Daredevil CRIES!!!!!! Submitted by Mike12 (Portland.OR) Was This Review Helpful? Good, but should have been better I did'nt think Ben Affleck could pull off a role like Daredevil, but he did.Colin Farrell stinks as the villain and he almost screws the entire movie up.The action is pretty good, but there is just not enough of it.Overall,it's good, but it should have been better. Give the Devil and Elektra their Due A pretty good adaptation from the Daredevil comic Book from Marvel Comics. Daredevil was always dark, and had a tough street feel, which is how this movie is. The fight scenes with Daredevil, Elektra, and Bullseye are just like out of one of Frank Miller's storylines. I thought Michael Clarke Duncan did a good job as the Kingpin, he just needed more screen time. Submitted by tkirtsos (Berlin,MD) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Simple Breathtaking; Definetly a classic This movie was pure greatness. I pity anyone who didn't like it, and honestly can't envision how they couldn't. This was everythina a movie should be, and was better than Spiderman, X-Men, etc. It had everything, and the people who were critical of it were because it didn't follow the comic books. Was it like the comic? No, but it was still an awesome movie. Submitted by downfall_JG (Richmond, KY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Spider-man was way better! I pity the reviewer who said the Storyline for Spider-man Sucked! Spiderman's storyline is the best and most original to the comics comparing other superhero movies today including Batman. Daredevil's storyline was butchered totally. X2 was massacred as well. The only thing Spider-man lacked was better fight scenes. Parker was meant to play a dork. If you are going to complain then what about Ben affleck in this movie? Matt Murdock is supposed to be a dork and mild mannered, but he is too over aggresive and in this movie making him almost unfit to become a superhero. Daredevil was good but boring most of the time, the action was the only reason why people liked it. Bullseye's character was screwed and so was Electra. You don't want to know how many people I know hated this movie. I still liked it but it's a rental at at most still. Submitted by a reviewer (Honolulu, Hi USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$10.35 Director Martin Scorsese revisits New York City's notorious past with this dazzling historical drama. A throwback to the epics of yesteryear, GANGS OF NEW YORK is set in the mid-1800s, when the streets of lower Manhattan were teeming with tension and violence. Leonardo DiCaprio is Amsterdam Vallon, the son of a revered gang leader (Liam Neeson). As a youth, Amsterdam witnessed the death of his father at the hands of William "The Butcher" Cutting (Daniel Day-Lewis), the maniacally driven ruler of the city's most powerful gang. Sixteen years later, Amsterdam is finally released from the orphanage that raised him. Determined to avenge his father's death, Amsterdam makes his way back to the volatile Five Points to track down Cutting and exact revenge. As he gradually infiltrates Bill the Butcher's camp and earns the crazed gangster's respect, he must also contend with the tumultuous, but beautiful, Jenny Everdean (Cameron Diaz). Daredevil review
$7.95 In FINAL DESTINATION 2, the basic notion of cheating mortality is further refined with an even more gripping plot provided by Eric Bress & J. Mackye Gruber, the duo behind the film BLUNT. Director David R. Ellis revels in film as an entertainment vehicle and the result is a no-holds-barred raucous good time. Ellis' background as a stuntman and stunt coordinator helps him build electric suspense through a chain of seemingly simple actions that in fact loaded and lethal.
In the original, FINAL DESTINATION, a group of students avoided the tragic crash of Flight 180 when Alexander Browning had a premonition. Death, however, didn't like being outwitted, and one by one the survivors died in freak accidents. The sole survivor was Clear Rivers (Ali Larter) who voluntarily checked into a padded room at Stonybrook Institute. FINAL DESTINATION II takes place on Flight 180's one-year anniversary. Kimberly Corman (A.J. Cook) is joyriding with some friends on Route 23 when she "sees" herself, her friends, and other drivers involved in a massive multi-car pileup. The scene is so artfully executed, it physically hurts to watch. She and police officer Thomas Burke (Michael Landes) save a group of people who would have otherwise died in the crash. But, as ever, death approacheth, taking the likes of Evan (David Paetkau), the Trans Am-loving lottery winner who puts up a good fight but is ultimately impaled on a ...

$9.69 Joel Schumacher (8 MM, FALLING DOWN) directs this suspense drama set in New York City's Times Square. A wannabe hotshot entertainment publicist who's more intent on posturing for his unpaid assistant than he is in actually working, Stu Shepherd (Colin Farrell) ducks into a phone booth to make his regular afternoon call to his girlfriend (Katie Holmes). Stu stops in the same phone booth at the same time every day to flirt with the young girl, who does not know that Stu is happily married with no intention of dating her seriously. When Stu says goodbye to his girl and sets down the receiver, he picks up a call from a threateningly sarcastic man with a deep voice. This man seems to have been tracking Stu's visits to this booth every day, and suddenly Stu knows that his secrets are no longer his own. Soon, the caller identifies himself as a sniper and begins shooting. Police are called in, and ...

Daredevil movie DVD
$23.45 Co-helmed by WALL-E director Andrew Stanton, FINDING NEMO follows Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), an overprotective clown fish father, as he desperately searches the farthest reaches of the sea for his missing son Nemo. Marlin's journey leads him beyond the Great Barrier Reef into deeper and darker waters, where he meets Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a forgetful yet optimistic blue tang, and a number of not-so-friendly--and often very hungry--aquatic creatures. Meanwhile, little Nemo finds himself in a dentist's fish tank in Syndey, Australia, along with other underwater captives, including Gill (Willem Dafoe), the group's scarred Moorish idol leader. As Nemo works with his new friends on a plan to escape their tank, Marlin and Dory swim closer, but they'll need more than just fins to get into the dentist's office.
This fifth computer-animated outing by Pixar continues the company's remarkable winning streak that began with TOY STORY. Like other Pixar films, FINDING NEMO features a story with heart--this time, a father-and-son tale--and thoroughly charming leads--in this case, Marlin, Nemo, and Dory. And, of course, there's an army of fascinating supporting characters, including Bruce (Barry Humphries), a great white shark on a no-fish diet; Crush (director/screenwriter Stanton), a surfer-dude sea turtle; Peach (Allison Janney), a stuck-to-the-aquarium starfish; and Nigel (Geoffrey Rush), a bold pelican. However, what truly distinguishes NEMO from even its CGI cousins ...

$9.69 THE HULK, adapted by Ang Lee (CROUCHING TIGER/HIDDEN DRAGON, THE ICE STORM) from the Marvel comic book series, stars Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, the tormented scientist whose temper periodically transforms him into a raging green monster. Fellow scientist and Hulk-love-interest Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly), shares a strange connection with Banner--both have abstract childhood nightmares that hint at a shared dark past. The missing pieces of the puzzle are revealed when Banner's unstable, mad-scientist father David (Nick Nolte) appears out of the blue, followed by Betty's father Ross (Sam Elliot), a military cowboy. Banner is ultimately trying to understand what it is that makes his strange and unpredictable metamorphosis occur, while his outbursts distract him, leading him out into the streets of San Francisco, to the Golden Gate Bridge, and on a tour of the American west's national parks where he unleashes his anger in violent tantrums. Posing a threat to the country that is treated like a natural disaster, the hulk attracts the attention of the military. They respond by chasing the hulk with helicopters, machine guys, and even heavy artillery, as he bounds away in mighty leaps, trying to escape. The CGI work used in creating the hulk is funny and convincing, and the gorgeous landscape photography ...

Daredevil film
$9.69 In this thrill-filled live-action Marvel Comics adaptation, director Tim Story (BARBERSHOP) balances comedy, romantic intrigue, special effects, high action, and even scientific trivia for a rounded FANTASTIC FOUR. Here, Mister Fantastic (Ioan Gruffudd), Invisible Woman (Jessica Alba), The Human Torch (Chris Evans), and The Thing (Michael Chiklis) come together on a space mission that goes wrong. The ship's owner (Julian McMahon)--who later transforms into evil Doctor Doom--refuses to abort the mission during a solar storm, which electrifies the ship and its entire crew, causing radical changes to their DNA. Back on earth, the transformed "heroes" adjust to their new powers, which are specific to their personalities. Mister Fantastic, who lacks assertion, has stretchy limbs of rubber. Invisible Woman, who loves Fantastic but thinks he can't see her for who she really is, does a disappearing act. The Human Torch, an immature guy who is brimming with energy, can burst into flames. And finally, The Thing, a great friend who is as solid as a rock, actually turns into one--and loses his wife due to his weighty disposition. Holing up in Fantastic's scientific lab where they run experiments on themselves in hopes of changing back to normal, the crew learns that Doctor Doom--who is so power hungry that he turns into metal and is able to conduct electrical currents--poses a serious threat. ...

Daredevil review
$9.75 Mariel Hemingway stars as a tough lesbian secret service agent protecting an equally tough vice president (David Keith) in this action thriller. Their plane crashes in the Pacific, where they make it to a remote tropical island inhabited by guerillas under the thumb of a brutal American mercenary (David Millbern). It soon transpires that the survivors are being hunted by Millbern and his cronies. As the action plays out, the plane's passengers enter into a battle of wits with their adversaries, while matters are further complicated for the vice president by the presence of a cute press secretary (Jill Bennett). The plane-wrecked passengers rely on their wits and heavy firepower to stay free in the jungle, but the friction between Hemingway's secret service agent and Bennett's press secretary causes further complications. But soon something magical starts to bloom between them.
The film makes interestingly subversive use of its action-film trappings, presenting an alternate reality where alternative fuel sources, global warming prevention, and economic sanctions against Third World dictators are all part of U.S. policy. There's also the small matter of a vice president who can shoot, talk tough, and smile warmly as his female bodyguard falls in love with another woman. In its slyly unassuming way this may be the first time same-sex romance is treated ...
