This is defintly Lost Horizon's best album yet, even more richer and more powerful than their first. Everyone in this album is just amazing and superb in their playing. Intense, beautiful, and just plain awesome, you have to take my word for it! A must buy if you are really into some awesome power metal!

Personally, I don't consider this one to be that great compared to their debut 'Awakening the World'. There are some real gems like 'Highlander (The One)' on this album though. Don't get me wrong, I'd still recommend this release; Lost Horizon are in fact one of the best bands from this genre, I must say.

This is a great album,the singer has very powerful vocal's.
I here they are looking for a new singer,so if you have a powerful voice and live around their country give it a go.

Don't be fooled by the album's title, which translates "to the stars through difficulties." For his second outing under the name "Bingo," Kevin Richey keeps things pretty down-to-earth. Joined by his Freak Mountain Rambler and former Golden Delicious bandmates, Richey trades the sitar and exotic Eastern textures of H-Om for simple fiddle, mandolin, and pedal steel guitar accompaniment. But Richey makes alternative country uniquely his own. His cover of Elizabeth Cotten's "Oh Babe, It Ain't No Lie" swirls with psychedelic guitars, only to be followed by a sparse banjo-and-mandolin version of Stephen Foster's "Hard Times." Richey's own songs fall somewhere in the vast middle of these extremes. "So Moved" communicates an entire range of emotions using just three lines of lyrics. "Sunset" is a slow shuffle about lost love, lost time, and flying too near the sun. Lana Lane has a spectacular voice. Honestly, a review of any CD by her could at least start with, if not consist almost entirely of, that statement. However, that really does not paint the full picture. On this album, Lane has surrounded herself with some incredible musicians, and the music is both powerful and all over the spectrum in terms of style. You will find songs on this disc that are quite definitely prog metal, but the majority of the disc is hard-edged prog. That said, there are softer songs that are just plain prog, minus the hard edge. The lyrical content of the CD is emotional and comes across as very honest; the vocals and music both add to those perceptions. The other interesting thing to point out is this: although much of the disc is influenced primarily by the harder-edged prog bands and prog metal outfits, there are moments on the album that come across as a harder version of progressive rock heroes Renaissance. In looking at all these facts, it is obvious to see that this CD is a well-rounded and dynamic progressive rock release with both stunning vocal work and musical performances. Lane's central co-contributor on the CD is Erik Norlander (Rocket Scientists).
