The amazing Chris Poland is back! OHM: has nothing to do with his Megadeth days - on their debut album OHM: brings you modern, heavy fusion like you never heard it before. Guitarist Poland is joined by Robertino Pagliari on bass and David Eagle on drums and percussives, and the trio lay out some massive sonic soundscapes that take advantage of Poland's formidable technique and compositional strengths. If you enjoy top-notch musicianship, exceptional songwriting with an emphasis on strong emotive melodies, then listen up because just when you think you've heard it all, we've got news for you, you haven't! OHM: exemplify the amazing musical possibilities the three piece format can have, proving that all it takes is a guitar, a bass, and some drums to make some truly awesome, catchy, meaningful tunage... or in this case, ohmage.
The first album by former Megadeath guitarist, Chris Poland's new rock band, Ohm.
Ohm: Chris Poland (guitar); Robertino Pagliari (bass); David Eagle (drums).

Ohm album
$28.19 Detroit's Cobo Hall on May 8, 1970, is the setting for Live in Detroit, the first complete concert performance on the Doors' own Bright Midnight label. This is the Doors the way they deserve to be remembered -- tight and overtly bluesy. However, that oversimplification unfairly discounts the multiple sonic detours made along the way. Strange but true, this is the very first complete concert recording by the Doors to be offered for mass consumption -- allowing for some poetic justice. Live in Detroit is an initial step in removing the rumor and innuendo regarding Jim Morrison's loss of ability to perform on stage -- with the threat of an impending legal trial. No, this isn't the same trippy, hippy, psychedelic band that raised eyebrows by singing "higher" on The Ed Sullivan Show. Similarly, the world had grown in the intervening years. While this set is chocked full of early favorites such as "Break on Through," "Light My Fire," and the rarely documented "The End," the Doors' souls are full of the blues. Snippets of Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready" and Robert Johnson's "Crossroads" connect and propel the band into live ...
| | Diamond Head Am I Evil?: The Anthology CDs (1987) (Import) United Kingdom
Ohm CD music
$18.99 New Wave of British Heavy Metal heavyweights (and mainstream metal failures) Diamond Head were long overdue for a best-of anthology, and chances are Sanctuary's two-disc Am I Evil?: Anthology, although not exactly perfect, is about as good as anyone could have hoped for. Except the unusually poppy single "Sweet and Innocent," all of Diamond Head's first and finest, nameless album (commonly referred to as Lightning to the Nations) and its essential B-sides ("Shoot Out the Lights," "Play It Loud," etc.) are paraded before the court here -- to the continued wonderment of all who may hear them. And for all of their inherent faults, the far less satisfying songs chosen from sophomore disaster Borrowed Time ("In the Heat of the Night," the title track, etc.) manage to acquit themselves ever so slightly in retrospect's benevolent glare. Not so the desperately unsalvageable submissions (and too many of them, let it be said) culled from confused third opus Canterbury, which remain as indefensible today as they did then -- with the only possible exception being the somewhat classy "Knight ...
| | Patton Oswalt Feelin' Kinda Patton CD (2004)
Ohm music CDs
$11.85 "America is like a giant retarded trust fund kid"; "I was late to an ether frolic"; "Angie Dickinson could suck..." well, that last line's better left for Patton Oswalt himself to finish. Let's back up. An acerbically funny standup and underrated comedic actor, Oswalt finally gets his own album with Feelin' Kinda Patton, and there's a good chance Wal-Mart isn't stocking it. Speaking too quickly for your kidneys to process the laugh pain, Oswalt puts a pincer through the strata of American society, skewering everyone from the President and his curious motives, to decadent Hollywood producer Robert Evans, to gumpy Midwestern Fashion Bug workers naïvely laying '80s pop/soap opera discard Michael Damian behind the Tilt-A-Whirl. "That's the one thing I like about George Bush," he says in "Come On Apocalypse." "I really think he can get us into the Apocalypse." But while the Prez definitely raises Oswalt's hackles, his Bush bit only sets up a description of why it'd be so great to buy the farm during such an event. As he says, it's a better way to go than getting eaten by fire ants, right? There's a bit of David Cross in Oswalt's style, mostly in how effectively both use the F-word, but also in their common ...

| | Becky Redels Christmas Memories CD (2001)
Ohm songs
$12.69 Currently a junior at a Christian University, Christian artist Becky Redels spent her childhood in Corpus Christi, Texas.Music was an integral part of Becky's growing years as she was, even as a very young child, consistently aware of its appeal.Notably inquisitive and philosophical, her longing to engage in private piano lessons was addressed at the age of six.She studied the various aspects of voice and music with well-known teachers here in South Texas including David Hiser, Carmen Diaz-Walker, Beverly Naismith and Dr. Elwood Brown. These lessons led to many local as well as state competitions in which she was very successful in expressing her inner peace and awe of the Lord.Very active in her youth group at Church of Christ South, Becky began singing at the age of nine at church Christmas programs and various school and church choir programs throughout her youth. She garnered many district, region and state awards as a private vocal and high school choir student.Becky was also a recognized honor student, and graduated from Richard King High School a year early. At 17, Becky began recording a compilation of popular, spiritual and Christian songs as a thank you present for friends and relatives as she graduated from King High School.Trinity Recording Studio owner Jim Wilken was producing the "demo" album and was so taken with Becky's talent that he suggested she record a professional album and he would release it on Trinity Entertainment's record label. The rest is history as they say.The album was entitled "A String of Pearls Christian Treasures".Her first single was a song entitled "Higher Love", which was written by Merrill Lane, a songwriter from Rockport, Texas who has written over 3000 songs for many of today's biggest stars."Higher Love" went all the way to number five on the God's Country Music Chart. The song was played worldwide and earned Becky the title "Gospel Artist of the Week" twice in the Netherlands. The ...

| | Dr X Struggle CD (2002)
Ohm CD music
$15.19 Dr. X was formed in Dayton, Ohio in 1995. They played their first show at Oregon Express on September 23, 1995. They performed both covers and originals, including an early version of DMHC Man. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Ken Coggeshall, bassist Bill Staudt, drummer Jay Stueve, and guitarist Keith Wood. After Jay's departure in February 1996, Jim McMahan stepped in. The band spent much of the next year writing songs and playing lots of shows to sparse crowds. In March 1997, Jim left the band and was replaced by Steve Weller. This prompted a move towards a heavier sound, and audience size began to increase. In the fall of 1997, Dr. X began production on their self-titled debut CD at Aztek Recording Studio in Dayton, Ohio. The band signed with J-Bird Records in June 1998, coinciding with the release of their first CD. Their CD Release Party was a huge success; and this, along with an outstanding performance at the 1998 WTUE/Sanctuary Halloween Show thrust Dr. X into the forefront of the local music scene. Crowds at Dr. X shows began to grow larger. In February 1999, Keith Wood parted company with Dr. X and was replaced by current guitarist Tom Reade, which brought another demention to the band's song writing, with all the members becoming more involved in the creative process.Dr. X released a limited edition 3-song sampler entitled Things To Come on Halloween 1999, selling 65 of the 100 run of discs at the first show.In August 2000, Steve Weller departed the band and was replaced by current drummer Greg Wiedemann. The band immediately set about writing more material and performing live extensively throughout the rest of the year.In January of 2001 Dr. X began what was to be the lengthy process of recording their second full length CD. After 18 months of recording, mixing, mastering, designing and manufacturing, with a few technical difficulties and setbacks, the band released "Struggle", of which one local journalist said is "one of the best albums to hit the shelves lately", on June 1st of 2002. The ...
