This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.CMJ - - "...As epic as industrial music gets, featuring broad soundscapes that manage to both sooth and disturb..." Sunnypsyop Music Review Average Rating: (4.7 out of 5 stars) Ohgr...again!! This is the second album, and it is up to par with the first(welt)album. Ohgrs tweeked out vocals continue to get more bizarre, and the music...Well, its beyond imagination. This is why you would want to listen to industrial. Its pure perfection. Ohgr is forging ahead...and beyond! Submitted by jonbon242 (New Orleans) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
You must own this album I've always loved Skinny Puppy, so I started listening to OhGr as soon as I could get my hands on the music. This is my fave album, probably one of my top five favorites of all time. I have to agree with the other reviewer on the best songs, but the whole album is awesome. Also, Nivek is the most incredible human being I've ever met, took time out to autograph my CD (very personalized) and tell me to stay off heroin. I absolutely love him, Cevin, Wayne (RIP), SP, and OhGr! Submitted by Mistress Antigone (Phoenix, AZ, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Nivek Is God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This album is a blessing to the fans of Ogre, Key and Skinny Puppy. The sound is not as demented as Skinny Puppy but is more on the goth pop side of music. It is great. Best songs would have to be SunBurn, DoG, HiLo, maJIK, JaKO, WaTergaTe. BUY THIS NOW! $9.35 Praise for the UNSACRED HEARTS and their s/t EP"It's a raw, dark, sexy and dangerous celebration of rock'n'roll."-Punk Planet"FOUR STARS...New York City garage-punks deeply in love with their late 70s forbearers. Unsacred Hearts' debut has more character, range and potential than most. A strong first effort if there ever was one. The #3 EP of 2004"-PunkNews.org"FOUR STARS...recommended without reservations."-All Music Guide"The Unsacreds excel at punchy rhythms and jittery riffage."-The Village Voice"This seven-song, self-titled CD has some sharp claws. Sony. 2006
Old-school R&B fans might raise an eyebrow at Jamiroquai's retro-styled music, which blends Stevie Wonder-esque soul with elements of acid jazz and clubby groove, but there's no arguing with the artist's impressive string of singles. HIGH TIMES: SINGLES 1992-2006 brings together 19 of those hits under one cover. Singer and frontman Jay Kay is the focus, and his varying line-ups always provide plenty of slick, tight funk. With a range of tunes reaching back to the early '90s for hits like "When You Gonna Learn" and continuing right through to cuts from the 2005 release DYNAMITE, the set provides an ideal overview of the U.K. star's career. Obvious reference points notwithstanding, Jamiroquai's music is buoyant and fun, and HIGH TIMES, with its tasty array of energetic dancefloor fillers, makes good on its title. Collecting most of Jamiroquai's singles since lead singer Jay Kay first donned a large furry buffalo hat for the band's 1992 debut, Emergency on Planet Earth, High Times: Singles 1992-2006 is a superb listen and a great summation of what has made the retro-futurist funk band so successful. Sure, High Times doesn't include every single they released -- the fantastic "Light Years" and "You Give Me Something" aren't included, and admittedly it was largely put together to fulfill and finish off Jamiroquai's contract with Sony. Nonetheless, as an encapsulation of what makes Jamiroquai such a phenomenal pop-funk-dance entity, it's an infectiously listenable affair. Running chronologically through the most recognizable singles Kay and company have released, High ...
| | Disincarnate Dreams Of The Carrion Kind CD (1993) (Import) Import; Sweden
Sunnypsyop
$20.99 Disincarnate: Bryan Cegon (vocals); James Murphy (acousitc guitar, guitar); Jason Carman (guitar); Tommy Viator (drums). Additional personnel: Aaron Stainthorpe (vocals); James Murphy (bass); John Walker (background vocals); Pete "Pee Wee" Coleman (samples). Recorded at The Windings, North Wales, England. Includes liner notes by Don Kaye, James Murphy, and Monte Conner. Disincarnate's only album, Dreams of the Carrion Kind, was ostensibly the much anticipated "solo" showcase for journeyman guitarist James Murphy, whose personal legend had been built, almost entirely, upon a series of brief but highly praised cameos with influential bands Obituary, Death, and Cancer. As much as his capabilities as a principal songwriter and bandleader, however, Dreams became a living document of instrumental overindulgence gone ...
