Josh Brolin stars in this fast-paced, fun romance featuring music from the best bands of the '80's. An action-adventure that depicts young love pitted against a backdrop of fast paced skateboard competition and feuding teen gangs. Thrashin' Reviews: "...The skateboarding sequences are photographed imaginatively..."
-- Dogo., Variety "...The movie can be fun. It's shot in an extravagant, try-anything, music-video style. It's rattlingly paced, vibrant and splashy..."

Thrashin' Movie Review Average Rating: (3.7 out of 5 stars) The Best SkateBoarding Movie of all TIme Thrashin' is the best of all time, a little bit cheesy but still the best. This will remain a true classic for years to come. Submitted by a reviewer (Escondido, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
The Shape of things that came to be This 1986 movie shows you exactly why the 90s owed everything to California. The best skateboard movie ever made. A mix of Romeo and Juliet and The Wild One. Simply a classic as far as skateboarding goes. No doubt about it. Absolutely essential if you're interested in skateboarding, the lifestyle and how it became so popular worldwide a few years later. If U want a movie about skateboarding, This is a must! This movie has to rank on top of the list when it comes to skateboarding movies. I thought the use of skate boarding was great when it came to tricks, stunts, and racing, so therefore that's what made the movie so great to watch. I think Thrashin is compared to the movie RAD when it comes to bicyles. So if you like skateboarding then THRASHIN is your movie. $12.55 Thanks in part to the popularity of Scottish dance-rock act Franz Ferdinand in the early 2000s, the Fire Engines became perhaps the most name-dropped band most people had never actually heard. The band's limited recorded output was released on vinyl seven-inch, LP, and EP in the early '80s; it quickly went out of print, and became nearly impossible to track down. In 2007, Acute Records issued HUNGRY BEAT, a 16-track collection spread across the band's various releases, including its debut 1980 self-released single "Codex Communications." Offering a proto-dance punk sound pulled so tight you can practically bounce a quarter ...

$10.29 Based on the best-selling novel by Irish author William Trevor, Egoyan's follow-up to his critically acclaimed THE SWEET HEREAFTER is technically impressive in the way it serves up its somber, ghoulish tale. The film is effortlessly smooth, indelibly rendered and yet simultaneously bone-chillingly creepy and oppressive--one can practically smell the decay lurking beneath the gleaming ...

Groundbreaking both in terms of its offbeat acting style and radical approach to the most controversial, taboo subjects (including sex, race, and politics), the legendary series MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS would forever change the face of sketch comedy. After the series' demise, the unit would go on to create several big screen classics, including MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY ...

| | Donnie Darko DVD (2001)
Thrashin' film
$10.29 Writer-director Richard Kelly's bold debut film is a social satire, a dark comedy, a science fiction time-traveling fantasy, and a suburban nightmare about an extremely intelligent, depressive, self-destructive, narcoleptic, gun-toting, sex-crazed, teenaged arsonist: Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal). DONNIE DARKO is not your typical teen comedy. But, like GHOST WORLD and RUSHMORE, it uses the trappings of the teen comedy as the entry point for a subversive and trenchant (and also wonderfully entertaining) look at American life. The difference between those films and DONNIE DARKO is that Donnie is an unlikely hero who just might save the world.
It's October 1988, in the Virginia suburb of Middlesex. When Frank, a grotesque giant bunny (possibly imaginary), leads Donnie out of his house minutes before a plane smashes through his roof, he not only saves Donnie's life but also warns Donnie that the ...
