Road Cases album for sale Product Description
Road Cases album for sale by Foghat was released Jun 06, 2006 on the Unidisc label. Recorded live at the Roseland Theater, Portland, Oregon on October 25 & 26, 1996. This 76-minute collection of live cuts from two live shows in Oregon during 1996 starts off a little ominously, in terms of the beat that the group uses on "I Just Want to Make Love to You," abut Rod Price's guitar carries the day and the group does well enough on the old blues-rock standard, stretched out to nearly ten minutes. Road Cases CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

Fool for the City CD (1975)
Road Cases CD music All songs written or co-written by Lonesome Dave Peverett except "My Babe" (Bobby Hatfield/Bill Medley) and "Terraplane Blues" (Robert Johnson).
Undoubtedly Foghat's finest album, 1975's FOOL FOR THE CITY, could cruise along on the strength of the band's biggest and best single, "Slow Ride," alone. In addition to that choogling stoner classic, however, the record also finds the bluesy British rock group offering up the fist-pumping, arena-worthy title track and a oddly funky version of Robert Johnson's "Terraplane Blues," not to mention the uncharacteristically melancholy "Take It or Leave It." Throughout the eclectic song selection, frontman Lonesome Dave Peverett leads the ensemble with assurance, making sure that even the lesser-known tunes are engaging (see the rollicking "My Babe"). Although DEFINITIVE ROCK ...

Breaking away from Savoy Brown to form this band, the members of Foghat knew from the start what sort of record they wanted to make. With heavy emphasis on the hard boogie, Foghat got down to work with the help of Dave Edmunds and crafted a hard rock gem. Covering Chuck Berry's "Maybellene," they goosed the beat up until it was almost a precursor of the heavy metal yet to come. Interspersing covers with original material, they immediately found a place for themselves in the rock world. ~ James Chrispell

Savoy Brown Blue Matter CD (1969) Top Seller
Road Cases album for sale The third release by Kim Simmonds and company, but the first to feature the most memorable lineup of the group: Simmonds, "Lonesome" Dave Peverett, Tony "Tone" Stevens, Roger Earl, and charismatic singer Chris Youlden. This one serves up a nice mixture of blues covers and originals, with the first side devoted to studio cuts and the second a live club date recording. Certainly the standout track, indeed a signature song by the band, is the tour de force "Train to Nowhere," with its patient, insistent buildup and pounding train-whistle climax. Additionally, David Anstey's detailed, imaginative sleeve art further boosts this a notch above most other British blues efforts. ~ Peter Kurtz

U.F.O. You Are Here CD (2004)
Road Cases CD music Survival sans Michael Schenker will forever be the plight of English hard rock heavyweights UFO. Indeed, for many ardent fans, the validity of the group's existence appears to hinge on the presence of the irascible German within its ranks. But with all due respect to the incomparable mad axeman, even his formidable talents have done little to elevate UFO's performance during its reunions of the '90s and 2000s, so it's only fair that the enduring "classic" trio of vocalist Phil Mogg, bassist Pete Way, and rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Paul Raymond should be free to carry on with or without him. They do the latter on 2004's You Are Here, a steady but very workmanlike album (recorded, ironically enough, in Germany) on ...

Triumph Live at the US Festival CD (2003)
Road Cases buy CD music Although Triumph's studio albums could be uneven and inconsistent, the Canadian hard rock/arena rock trio had a reputation for being explosive on-stage (where they tended to avoid their lesser material and put a lot of energy into their more memorable songs). When you think about it, Triumph had the opposite problem of many of today's high-tech, urban contemporary, electronica, and dance-pop artists: in contrast to all the people who are so reliant on studio technology that they fall apart on-stage, Triumph tended to sound more confident and assured on-stage than they did in the studio. Live at the US Festival, in fact, paints a more consistently attractive picture of Triumph than many of its studio albums. This 54-minute CD was recorded at a massive, three-day outdoor rock festival that took ...
