Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie Movie Review Average Rating: (3.5 out of 5 stars) A good movie for kids that mom and dad can enjoy too! I paid to see this in the theatre when it came out and my kids and I loved it so much we saw it three times and bought the video when it came out on VHS.
The movie was fun from start to finish and didn't drag at all. The characters seemed real and were easy to like. David Jason Frank was fantastic, and I never thought that Beloch from Indiana Jones would end up an MMPR villain.
The movies opening scene with the rangers skydiving was excellent and very fun to watch.
I would rather have seen Zed as the main baddie, doing something spectacular and screenworthy, so I was a little disappointed with the creation of Ivan Ooze. That said, Ivan made a pretty good villain, so when the movie was over, I had no complaints.
The movie was a nice adventure with clean language and no innuendo. It had likeable characters and while the story wasn't overly complex, it was enough to make a decent movie out of a kids TV show.
Good action, great effects, and the actors aquitted themselves well in a big screen production.
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones should have been so good.

What the hell? The Power Rangers suck. This movie wants to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie very badly but comes no where near the excitement and brutality that is the heroes in a half-shell. I remember when these guys came out I was so pissed because nobody like the Turtles anymore. Oh well, the Turtles are back and what has become of the Power Rangers now? NOTHING! The Turtles are forever. This movie had some good action....but overall go see the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie. TURTLE POWER!!!
