| | J B Lenoir One Of These Mornings CD J B Lenoir Discography of CDs
One of These Mornings was recorded in 1962 at J.B. Lenoir's Chicago home. Willie Dixon recorded these tunes as an audition tape with the intention of getting Lenoir on the burgeoning European blues packages. These 16 tracks, amazing as they are, are better suited to the hardcore collector due to poor sound quality. While Dixon doesn't play bass on any of these tracks, his presence is felt throughout by the occasional background vocals and just hanging out and talking while the tape rolled. The only other musician involved is Fred Below, who plays drums on "God's Word." ~ Al Campbell

One Of These Mornings
$9.85 CYMARSHALL LAW BIO / PRESS RELEASE When Hip Hop first began it was about not following the bandwagon but making the bangwagon follow you , music with a message , not crafting your style after another mans but inventing your own , the artist who was most original , creative and lyrical was the one who wore the crown when the the dust settled , if these words where to describe any one emcee right now it would be England born , Jamacain descent , New Jersey native Cymarshall Law , as if frozen in a time capsle when Hip Hop was in its early beginnings and released in the future where some say Hip Hop is Dead and others proclaim its alive and well Law steps out from behind curtains seemily at the time when he is needed most with his debut album HIP HOP IN THE FLESH , the title alone garners one to quickly begin unravelling the package to see what this young veteran has to offer. Cymarshall Law first got his start joining the group Everliven Sound who was at the time on Big Jus of Company Flows now dismantled label Subverse Music, which harbored artists such as MF Doom , Micronauts and C Rayz Walz. Cymarshall Law and partner/brother Skit Slam went on to begin their own company Freedom Entertainment and independantly pressed 2000 copies of a vinyl EP titled Everlution , the release of this album jolted the group forward impressing college radio DJ's all over the nation. Off this buzz Cymarshall Law was able to tour the U.K. and establish himself as an emcee to watch performing all over theU.S. east coast and at prolific events such as Scribble Jam and Rocksteady Reunion alongside new found friend and partner in crime Pumpkinhead. After Law's partner Skit Slam moved to the U.K. , Law consistently put out 2 cd's a year , each selling at least 1500 copies a piece on his own without a label's backing just grind and legwork. In 2004 Cymarshall was named Rookie of the Year by onetime Bobitto Garcia protege Sucio Smash of WKCR's 89.9 Squeeze Radio. Last year okayplayer.com had this to say about Cymarshall Law "If you’re a fan of good hip-hop and clever wordplay, make it a point to check out Cymarshall Law". An emcee driven by pure passion for the art , someting about Cymarshall Law seems old school as if he uses his spirit to pay homage to forefathers and greats that came before him but on the flipside he is new and refreshing with a style that could only be commanded by the creator. The definition of the word versatile in a time in Hip Hop where so many sound the same Law effortlessly pulls off what most could only dream of with story telling skills that have been compared to the likes of Slick Rick and Nas. Most recently Law has been picked up by Rawkus Records for the Rawkus 50, chosen to for the the famous Vans Warped Tour , casted as a Headliner for Canada's national DMC Championship in 2006 alongside Juice, Pumpkinhead and Peatnut Butter Wolf. So far in his short yet impressive career he has shared stages with Mos Def , Talib Kweli , Jean Grae , Rah Digga, Immortal Technnique , Bootcamp Clik , Murs, ...
