Let It Rock - Volume 1 Movie Review Average Rating: (4.8 out of 5 stars) NAZARETH Listen to Morning Dew by Nazareth and watch the lead singer make you say huh?
He does not sound like the same singer who grabbed our attention with Hair of the Dog LP. But then he begins the gravelly voice and you know it's him. The song rocks though I never listened to it before. I gave other songs a chance and never heard of them either. The song by Family rocked too.
Visually we were all stoned in this era, just watch the effects in these songs and tell me I'm wrong lol.

Old.... But still rockin !!! Discovered this dvd while browsing. What a find !!! Awesome stuff on Vol. 1.
Volume 2 only gets 3 stars, not enough REAL hits and groups I know. Get Volume 1 for stuff you won't beleive. Sound is also great here, The WHO Pinball Wizard is just an example of great sound. Not a BIG WHO fan, but sound was so good, I watched it 3 times to be sure I heard it right. It was and is awesome. But it, you won't regret it. The Good Bad and Ugly of Let It Rock The good in this video is it's a very nostalgic snapshot of what rock bands were like in the 70s. (It's amazing how many common denominators: Orange amps, Gibson SG guitars and wah wah pedals, and Hammond organs abound...) One thing that I hate about "performance" videos is when the "performance" turns out to be merely lip synching to the album track. This has it's share of that and that's part of the bad (ex. Pete Townshend strumming the accoustic intro to Pinball Wizzard on his SG electric...) but there is enough of genuine live performance to still make it worthwhile. However, another part of the bad is that some of the bands that were really playing just sucked. But not the ones you've heard of. With the exception of The Grease Band. I've never heard of them but theirs was a standout performance of "Wild Side Of Life." Ironically, though Jethro Tull were lip syinching to "Whitch's Promise," it was one of my favorite moments anyway because of Ian Anderson's bigger than life presence. My other favorite moment is Yes' "Yours Is No Disgrace." Of course they are really playing and you will laugh out loud at just how much guitarist Steve Howe (one of my all time favorites)resembles Nigel Tufnel and the overall Spinal Tapness with the spinning styrophome head over the chair bit... Joan Jett and her boys are a joke that don't belong in here at all. Ann and Nancy look great in Heart while they lip synch. And the ugly, well most of these guys are just ugly mothers. Amazing video and audio quality! Great video quality, great audio quality, un-cut songs, simply the best classic rock DVD I own to date. If you like these bands, you must have this DVD. Out of all the tracks (22) I only skip 3 when I watch it. Heart, Meatloaf, Free, Jethro Tull all stand out. I wish ALL classic music DVD's followed this DVD's example. $11.49 When it comes to the pantheon of rock & roll, Jeff Beck is no minor god--the Yardbirds guitarist has spent decades mesmerizing fans with his intricate, unstoppable technique. This 2007 performance, recorded live at Ronnie Scott’s in London, reassures that Beck is still the best: playing to a packed house of diehard fans and celebrities, he breaks off incredible renditions of "People Get Ready," "A Day in the Life," and "Little Brown Bird." The guitar hero is amazing on his own, but the duets included here--with Eric Clapton, Joss Stone, and Imogen Heap--add an extra echelon of electricity and joy.
