Bernadette Comes up Trumps Well, many people said she couldn't do it, but judging by this cast recording, they were wrong! Bernadette Peters stars as Mamma Rose in Gypsy and steals the CD. She acts and sings her heart out and breaks the listener's into the bargain! Her Rose's Turn is sensational and shows many emotional colours. I'd rank this alongside the Ethel Merman original and now we have the original motion picture soundtrack to look forward to in the Autumn!
