The Buddy Rich Big Band. A lot's been said and written about Rich. A stormy person ...
Just Another Satisfied Customer I have every BR recording that I can get my hands on, legally or otherwise. I'm sure most of us who would buy and listen to this can say that. This particular recording occupies an interesting place on my personal list. The best BR albums were always live; by the time I was seeing him regularly though, he was no longer doing live albums, with the exception of the King Street recordings, which came later. If you want to hear how this band, and Buddy, sounded like in the 70's, which is when I saw him the most (including the infamous Adams City High School concert), buy this. Then buy No Funny Hats.
I love this album! Only Buddy could do a cover of Miles' So What like this!!!!!!! Submitted by rick (Arvada CO) Was This Wham! Live Music Review Helpful? YesNo 1 of 1 found this helpful.
