Originally issued just a few months after Freddie Mercury's untimely death, LIVE AT WEMBLEY '86 is two discs full of Queen at the height of its powers in concert. Perfectly blending popular hits with more obscure album tracks and several vintage 1950s rock & roll covers, WEMBLEY '86 is everything a Queen fan could possibly want from an in-concert release. Recorded at England's massive Wembley Stadium during a stop on their sold-out A KIND OF MAGIC summer tour, the band is heard giving it their all in front of over 150,000 fans during a two-night stand.
LIVE AT WEMBLEY '86 proves to be a very consistent set, a worthy successor to Queen's previous double live album, 1979's LIVE KILLERS. All of the band's classic '70s material--"Tie Your Mother Down," "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions," "Bohemian Rhapsody"--is performed with just as much vigor as their newer cuts--"One Vision," "A Kind of Magic," "Under Pressure," "Another One Bites the Dust." And it's a gas to hear Queen have some fun with spirited renditions of '50s standards--"Tutti Frutti," "(You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care," and "Hello Mary Lou (Goodbye Heart)."
The 2003 edition of LIVE AT WEMBLEY contains bonus tracks.

I have the DVD for Queen on Fire, and this is much better. The Live versions of "A Kind of Magic" and "One Vision" are far better then on the studio album. My only dislike is the three bonus songs, which in my opinion are unnessescary, sounding quite similar. Inside the two disc set includes songs from Queen II and A Kind of Magic and everything in between (except for Jazz), and 5 cover songs with Tutti Frutti sounding in my opinion better then the original. It even sounds at the end of One Vision like they're playing Liar, but it instantly shapes into Tie Your Mother Down. One of the highlites is the 9 minute guitar solo by Brian, proceeded by Impromptu, which is an instrumental piece you can only expect from queen. In short, Buy It.

Queen's best live album! Much better than "Live Killers", in that the sound quality on that album sucked. Great line-up of songs. The members of Queen were in fine form when they played, that night!

Ladies and gentlemen, do yourselves a favor; buy this album. Has these fabulous live versions of MOST of their best songs. There is not a single song on this album I can think of, that isn't just fantastic. It being a recording of Queen's last concert ever (with Mercury) makes it all the more worth buying.
