| Dragonslayer Dragonslayer DVD for sale An unusual offering from Disney, made and released pre Touchstone. Dragonslayer movie There are memorable performances from the actors especially Ralph Richardson. The storyline is in the typical fantasy genre and there are some very clever effects, coming as they do from a largely pre CGI era. However the story moves along a bit too slowly and the action scenes don't grab your attention as well as they should. A better, more exciting music score would have helped too. The end scenes are amazing. Modern day movie makers have obviously seen this one and borrowed heavily from the ideas and techniques. Not a brilliant movie but a good one and well worth a look. | Still Entertains!! Dragonslayer video Saw this in highschool pre Arnold Swartzenegger "Conan." Right up there w/ Sword and the Socerer-Takes you back to a time when movies took to the imagination. Still a joy to watch!! Young man takes the place of the master, has difficulty to inexperience but slays the dragon, gains respect, and most importantly, gets the girl in the end.
