The original recording sounded too much like a Spock's Beard record (not that that's a bad thing). This version is not radically different, but it has more of the sounds and orchestration found on Flower Kings records. It is fuller, more complex, and rich with details not heard in the original mix. If you want SMPTe this is the version to buy.

If you're a fan of Transatlantic you're in for a real treat. All of the songs are alternative mixes of the regular album and I have to say I like some of this one better then the original. The guitars are beefed up so you can actually hear things that you could only vaguely hear before. It's a great buy, go on and buy it, help Roine out.

I thought SMPTe was the best release of it's year and was excited to listen to this modified version. It really is a stellar remix ! I personally feel the songs are more cohesive in this remixed version and feature a guitarist perspective. Stripped down but certainly not lacking, Transatlantic fans should appreciate this offering immensely.

I like the orginal version. The remixed
version. The guitars are cool. My new world is a cool version. My favorite song is All Of the Above. If like all the songs go & get the orginal version.
That way you get both cd's from the
different sounds on each song. Transatlantic is a band that can play
for a long time. Roine Stolt did a great job on the remixed version. I hope that they did get back together
for one time concert.

Directed by Rob Zombie, Devil's Rejects is the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, and picks up several weeks after House left off. The music featured on the soundtrack plays an integral part in the film, including the shocking ending. This Dualdisc includes a 20 minute making-of documentary and film trailers. The CD side includes tracks by the Allman Brothers, Three Dog Night, Terry Reid, Kitty Wells, Buck Owens, Elvin Bishop, Otis Rush, James Gang, David Essex, Joe Walsh, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. This release carries a parental advisory. This dualdisc does NOT contain the film.

"Have fun scrapin' all them brains off the road!" That's just one of the lively quotes peppering the between-song crevices on the soundtrack to Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie's sequel to his 2003 horror genre throwback House of 1000 Corpses. The dialogue snippets add character to the set, just like the blood, shotguns, and verité mug shots of its artwork. (To say nothing of the entirely separate album released from Banjo & Sullivan, the film's fictional honky tonkers.) Yeah, you can say whatever you want about Zombie. Just don't ever call him unimaginative. Devil's Rejects adheres to its time period with a brace of rock from 1973 through around 1975, and blends the tracks from James Gang ("Funk #49"), Three Dog Night ("Shambala"), and the Allmans ("Midnight Rider") with classic honky tonk from Kitty Wells and Buck Owens. It's a great blend of album rock, air guitar faves, eccentric picks, and country ramble -- it would be like the perfect radio road trip down I-65, if radio in America actually still sounded like this.
