In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 album for sale Product Description
In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 album for sale by REM was released Oct 28, 2003 on the Warner Bros. label. Many of those who revere R.E.M. tend to fixate on the Athens band's earlier days, when the Byrds-gone-new-wave jangle of Peter Buck's guitar and the inscrutable murmurs of curly-headed frontman Michael Stipe ruled the college-rock roost and set the standard for what came to be known as "alternative rock." Thus, it's often overlooked that the band didn't simply fade away after breaking through to the mainstream in the late-'80s. ...See Full Description

Exactly What It Says, the best 88-03 In Time: The Best of R.E.M. 1988-2003 buy CD music This is a collection of the bands WARNER BROTHERS RECORDS work, from 1988 until 2003, the bands hits from their days on IRS Records were not included because, for one, they appeared on the bands first greatst hits album "Eponymous" back in 1987, and two, IRS owns those recodings and Warner could not use them So people, please stop complaning that a song from the early days didn't make this CD, because that's not the point of this album, this CD collects the work of the second half of their career, their Warner recordings. That being said, this is an amazing collection of tracks, all of their big warner brothers hits, a couple new songs, and if you bough the expanded version of this, a bonus disc with tons of rare b-sides and outtakes. Well woth the wait, wel woth the money, and exactly what it claims to be, the best of REM 1988-2003! By Jonathan (Boston, MA)
Good...but 1 missing I really like this 2-disc set but there is one song missing from this set." The End Of The World" i think thatsthe name of it but that was a huge song for them. By SimpsonsdruMMer (Wouldnt u like 2 know)
Who's to bang & blame when everybody hurts... ... seeing this strange `best of´ selection. OK, this cannot be just an average CD, but I agree with everyone saying that certain tracks are missing. `Drive´ & `Bang and Blame´ are simply too good to leave out. I wonder why `best of´ collections are often worse that they could have been. Probably some long term commercial tactic that makes the customers hurt. By a reviewer (Stockholm, Sweden)
