Toto - 25th Anniversary: Live In Amsterdam Video Toto - 25th Anniversary: Live In Amsterdam Movie Review Average Rating: (4.4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Live in Amsterdam It is great to see Toto have not lost any of their 'chops' over the years. Their performance is very tight and entertaining. I would have liked to have seen a few of their compilations played in the full such as "Georgy Porgy" but generally, overall, was satisfied. Good to see the guys looking healthier, than from the early days. Submitted by petertimp (NSW, Australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Outstanding Musicians The professionalisn and musicianship is evident in this current edition of Toto. The band could have devoted more time to their hits (several medleys), but the performance is flawless from start to finish. Well worth the price. The Steve Lukather show. . . Let's call this dvd the Steve Lukather show. . .
with help from Paich, Kimball and Porcaro. A good set
of tunes, some of which are far too short as mentioned in other reviews. A true concert, no filler here. But the great finish with the song "White Sister" is worth the view. Yep, these guys are old but they can rock the house when they want to. Submitted by carey c (Kansas City, MO) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Hey, it's okay, but... First let me say Toto is very underrated in my books. Since their debut release in the 70's they have continued to put out exceptional cd's. Toto is often recognized as a blast from the past, but this band continues on in 2004 as one of the best gathering of musicians ever. That's what hurts this DVD. I'm sorry Toto fans, but two medley's of songs?! Some of the songs only get a few seconds of chords played. I must have blinked and missed You Supply the Love. Whats wrong with playing songs in complete form? I wouldn't have even minded if they would have recorded more than one show in order to make that happen. I know, time is money! The other reviews are right about the video and audio quality...it's fabulous. However, the above mentioned medleys and the constant solo's in every other song became tiring. I do have to point out I was thrilled to see English Eyes,White Sister, and Goodbye Elanor included in the mix. But, very disappointed about condensed versions of some other favrites (Hydra. Overall, I was hoping for something better. It's not bad, but I don't see myself watching this dvd again. Submitted by David (Fort Worth, Texas) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$22.75 Very few Led Zeppelin performances were caught on camera during the band's life-span, but the footage that has been preserved for posterity is collected on this release. With a running time of over five-and-a-half hours, this is the definitive word on Zep's global stage-straddling performances. ...

Toto - 25th Anniversary: Live In Amsterdam video
$22.75 The list of accomplishments and accolades accumulated by The Eagles is too long to recount, their music having been a staple of American music since the 1970s, and their popularity never waning. With five number-one singles and four number-one albums, two of which are among the best-selling records of all time, the group has helped form the backbone of classic rock; hits like "Desperado," "Hotel California," and "Lyin' Eyes" are instantly recognizable and timeless. After helping to popularize the Southern California rock sound of the '70s, the group--at this point made ...

| | Fear Of A Punk Planet DVD (2001)
Toto - 25th Anniversary: Live In Amsterdam review
$13.05 A unique and entertaining combination of music video and dramedy, FEAR OF A PUNK PLANET stars comedic talents Kyle Gass (of Tenacious D) and Scott Aukerman (of HBO's cult series MR. SHOW) while featuring raucous music performances from NOFX, the Mr. T Experience, the Ataris and others. In the first of 2 stories, Kyle Gass plays a stuffy fire marshall who shuts down a local punk rock nightclub. Though very different in their views about punk rock, 4 punks band together to save the club. In the 2nd episode, Gass is joined by his equally uptight deputy for more sabotaging of the punk rock scene.
In 1996 we released a punk soundtrack to a Ben Affleck film, Glory Daze, which sold 10,000 units before the movie was released a full year later. After that experience, we set out to find a way to release soundtracks to films that punk rock fans could see immediately, without going to an "art house". Kung Fu Films was born and we produced the first full-length narrative feature film made specifically for the punk audience, That Darn Punk. The film stars, among others, members of The Vandals, with Joe Escalante playing a punk musician who pays the ultimate price for his back stage indiscretions. In and around the action on the screen, we loaded the ...
