| | Ice-T Home Invasion CD Ice-T Discography of CDs
HOME INVASION is the 1993 effort from the original gangster rapper Ice-T. "Warning," "G Style," and "Race War" are among the tracks.
Given the fact that most of Home Invasion was recorded during and after the "Cop Killer" media firestorm, it comes as no surprise that the album is an uneven, muddled affair, not the clean, focused attack of O.G. Original Gangster. Instead of producing an album that illustrates his confusion through the music (like Public Enemy's claustrophobic "Welcome to the Terrordome"), Ice-T made a confused album, unsure in its musical and lyrical direction. Home Invasion does have some flashes of brilliance (about a third of the album, particularly the tribute to the gang truce, "Gotta Lotta Love"), but it takes a little digging to find the best material. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
The hardcore rapper's 1993 album featuring 19 tracks. Virgin.
Recorded at Soundcastle Recording Studios, Syndicate Studios West and Conway Studios, Los Angeles, California.
Personnel includes: Ice-T (rap vocals); Brother Marquis, Daddy Nitro (vocals); Mooseman (bass).

Rolling Stone (4/1/93, pp.51-52) - 4 Stars - Excellent - "...a curiously mature work....Ice-T seems to understand that he has earned the right to look past the streets and take himself as his subject..." Home Invasion Review

Home Invasion album
$9.69 In the early '90s, Cannibal Corpse acquired a small cult in the death metal underground by embracing some of the most gruesome lyrics the subgenre had to offer. Thriving on shock value, the band inspires comparisons to GWAR and comes across as a parody of death metal and grindcore more than anything. Like its previous album, the equally twisted Eaten Back to Life, Butchered at Birth addresses such lurid topics as dismemberment, torture, and masochism. One will need the lyric sheet to know just how gross songs like "Under the Rotted Flesh," "Meat Hook Sodomy," "Covered with Sores," and "Rancid Amputation" are ...

Home Invasion CD music
$9.69 Cannibal Corpse emerged fully formed out of Florida's famous death metal swamp with this one. All the trademarks are in place, from the B-horror movie album cover art to the ludicrously over the top lyrics -- "Brains devoured in a frenzied slaughter, thirst for gore nothing more/Bile is dripping, puss from wounds, as the coroner drinks it down." Chris Barnes growls his vocals like Satan on a diet of razor blades and paint thinner, and the playing is uniformly savage. Although their pursuit of lyrical and musical extremes was something of a joke from this first release on, Cannibal Corpse's single-minded devotion to their cause is admirable. ~ Leslie Mathew

Chris Barnes growls his vocals like Satan on a diet of razor blades and paint thinner. The playing is uniformly savage and, alas, uniformly one-dimensional. On paper Cannibal Corpse are the perfect death metal act, but in reality, their pursuit of lyrical and musical extremes ...

Home Invasion music CDs
$9.89 Released in September 1982, DEVIL is Ozzy's third solo album and first live one. Recorded at NYC's Ritz, it closes a chapter in Ozzy's career with an all-Black Sabbath set, actually competing against his former bandmates as they released LIVE EVIL just a few months later. Ozzy's performance is as spirited as ever, and the Sabbath classics come across tight and rock solid.
Opening with "Symptom Of The Universe," one of the finest metal compositions ever, the album pulls you into Ozzy's wacky and twisted world for the duration of the show. This remastered edition (with superb clarity) features the previously omitted "Sweet Leaf," Sabbath's ode to herbal remedy. Osbourne's last recorded song with Sabbath, the ironically titled "Never Say Die" is rocked with renewed vigor by the ace band of Brad Gillis, Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge. The group and the over-the-top Manhattan crowd seem to play off each other. If you're a Sabbath or Ozzy fan, you need to purchase DEVIL, a sonic souvenir of a classic gig.
excellent live performance of Ozzy/Black Sabbath's greatest hits. What's cool is that there are many songs on this album that aren't normally found outside their original recordings. "Never Say ...
