This 2-DVD special edition musical movie stars Dick Van Dyke. Special features include "A Fantasmagorical Motorcar", 3 vintage featurettes, several kid games and the original audio demos of composers Richard and Roger Sherman performing their songs during preproduction, many of which would change radically as the script continued to develop. A widowed inventor saves a racing automobile from destruction, after which the car mysteriously develops magical powers. Van Dyke's charming as a daydreaming inventor who fixes up an old jalopy and, with the vivid imaginations of his two children and a lady friend, it is transformed into a flying, floating wonder car that carries them to a magical kingdom. Inspired by an Ian Fleming idea. Shot in 70-M Super Panavision.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Video Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Movie Review Average Rating: (3 out of 5 stars) A true love, but did I get a sequencing error? "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"; true nostalgia from my childhood and I've watched it over a hundred times now with my own child.
An oddity - in my version, which is likely the remastered, Truly Scrumptious is dropped off at her home, sings her love song and in the next scene the villains are still on the move and Dick Van Dyke, Truly and the children continue on their saga. I would think her love song would be the end of the movie after the day is over. What does anyone think??? Submitted by katinhatt (Houston, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Family fun! What a great family movie and wonderful for small children. My grandaugher, who is almost 3, wants to watch it all day long, everyday! She sings and dances along with the movie. Nothing beats those old movies. Submitted by pebbledog (Severn, MD) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No This review is for a different format.

A great family movie! I purchased the movie for my grandson who is 18 months. He loves Mary Poppins, so I figured he will enjoy this too. He loves the movie and the bamboo dance, tries to imitate the dance steps, loves the songs. Very entertaining movie.

$15.79 Though she refuses Captain Wentworth (Rupert Penry-Jones) in her youth, Anne Elliot's (Sally Hawkins, LITTLE BRITAIN) love for her handsome but penniless suitor never dies. When he returns eight years later--a wealthy and high-ranking naval officer--she has the chance to set things right. While the two leads ably carry the film, the highlight is Anthony Head's (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) hilarious turn as Anne's snobby father. This Masterpiece Theatre production offers a splendid rendition of Jane Austen's final novel.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang video
$9.79 Life imitates art in this adaptation of Karen Joy Fowler's bestselling novel about a book group reading the work of Jane Austen. Each of the people in the group is at a different stage of life: there's Sylvia (Amy Brenneman), whose husband has just left her for another woman, and her daughter Allegra (Maggie Grace), who's looking for a woman herself. Bernadette (Kathy Baker) has six marriages under her belt, while Jocelyn's (Maria Bello) most significant relationship is with her dog. New to the group of friends are Prudie (Emily Blunt), a teacher who is unhappy with her marriage, and Grigg (Hugh Dancy), the group's only man--a sci-fi fan invited by Jocelyn to take Sylvia's mind off her failed marriage. As they make their way through Austen's novels, they discover that the writer's work is just as relevant in the 21st century as it was in the 19th. The group has its own Emma, and a sparring would-be couple bears striking resemblance to Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy.
THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB succeeds largely thanks to the strength of its cast. Bello is better known for dramatic roles in films such as THE COOLER and THE HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, but she does an excellent job with this film's lighter tone. As know-it-all Prudie, Blunt steals just as many scenes as she did in THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA. Though it might seem like a clubhouse with a "No Boys Allowed" sign, the men in the movie hold their own with the female cast. Jimmy Smits, Marc Blucas, and Kevin Zegers play supporting roles, but it's Dancy who deserves the most praise. As Griggs struggles to woo one of the ...

$11.35 Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham pulls out all the stops--and puppets--for this holiday comedy special that's fit for the whole family. The irreverent performer and his usual characters riff on Santa, sleigh rides, and gift giving, and star in the bonus music video "Roadkill Christmas."
Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham pulls out all the stops--and puppets--for this holiday comedy special that's fit for the whole family. The irreverent performer celebrates the season with all of his foam-and-fur cohorts: Peanut, an odd purple creature with a fast (and flaming) mouth; Jose Jalapeño, a smooth-talking pepper on a stick; Bubba J, NASCAR’s biggest fan; and Walter, a dirty old man with no internal censor. VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS SPECIAL features Dunham and the puppet brigade bantering about Santa, sleigh rides, and gift-giving. The release also includes the bonus music video "Roadkill Christmas."

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie DVD
$15.05 When his friend and coworker suddenly dies, train enthusiast Finbar McBride (Peter Dinklage) inherits an abandoned railway station in rural New Jersey. A dwarf who avoids social contact whenever possible, Fin treks out to the property and moves in. However, his newly isolated life is disrupted by Joe (Bobby Cannavale), the outgoing operator of a roadside refreshment stand, and Olivia (Patricia Clarkson), a reclusive artist who is grieving the loss of her son. As Joe and Olivia slowly bring Fin out of his shell, all three people are affected by their newfound friendships.
Written and directed by Thomas McCarthy, THE STATION AGENT wonderfully mixes drama and comedy in a beautiful countryside setting. Although the storyline acknowledges that the main character is a dwarf and refers to this on numerous occasions, there is much more to the character of Fin McBride than his short stature. As Fin, Dinklage gives an outstandingly nuanced performance, one that is perfectly complemented by Cannavale's happy-go-lucky Joe and Clarkson's ...
