Metcalf has truly been delivered from darkness and into God's Marvelous Light.Blessed with numerous gifts, prior to being delivered from the secular world, he used those gifts to entice fans all over the United States. Born Harold Metcalf, in Forrest City, Arkansas, he is one of 13 children. He began his musical career at the age of 15. He played trumpet, drums and sang lead vocals in a six piece band, "The Fabulous Uptights". In the spring of 1970, he recorded with the group "Abraham and His Sons" on Revenue Records (a division of Universal Records). He played trumpet and co-wrote the hit single "Your Mother Understood". During those secular years, Metcalf performed with super stars like Al Green, The Chi-lites, Luther Ingram and Albert King, just to name a few. Chosen and filled with God's Holy Spirit, in October 2001, Metcalf was transformed by watching Bishop T. D. Jakes on TV at 2 o'clock in the morning. After being changed, he was called to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a psalmist.
