Intital pressings of THE TERROR STATE include a bonus track entitled "Fuck The Flag."
Over the course of numerous uniformly excellent albums, Anti-Flag has established itself as one the most musically accomplished, intelligent, and passionate politically inclined punk bands on the hardcore scene. Unlike similar groups, whose knuckle-headed propagandizing rarely gets beyond well-meaning but simplistic sloganeering designed more to incite unrest than to solve problems, the Pittsburgh-based foursome carefully considers its viewpoints before committing them to wax (to the extent that each song is accompanied by an explanation complete with bibliographical references).
Musically, Anti-Flag takes cues not only from old-school masters like the Exploited and the Descendents, but explores advanced harmonic and rhythmic territory that recalls everyone from the similarly minded Rage Against the Machine to legendary Canadian prog-rockers Rush. Of special mention are Chris #2's snappy basslines, which often drive the songs in Bruce Foxton (of the Jam)-like fashion. With super-clean production that rivals the output of any major label wannabes, THE TERROR STATE ups the ante for socially conscious punk by infusing the oft-tiresome genre with welcome doses of spirit, chops, and musical inventiveness.

Their sound & message gets better with age... To look back at the first of the Anti-flag cd's, the ones that stared it all, you get an idea of were this band has come from musicly. To take those albums in attempts to compare them with this one, your going to fall short. Simply put, album after album their sound evolves, gets stronger and continues to prove their message even louder.
Theses guys truly care about were our people are going, enough so they not only started this band based on soul intentions of spreading the TRUTH, but also started A-F records inwhich every band we can learn somthing from; Be it through their words or from the comfort that comes from knowing that you are NOT the only one that can see through to the THRUTH.
This album says it.

A simple review by a life long fan. I think Anti-Flag is one of the greatest Punk bands ever. This CD is by far the greatest CD i have ever owned. So this is why i give this CD 5 stars out of 5, and I hope Anti-Flag keeps making their music for many more years to come. -Peace Out Submitted by ass_monkey0864 (Manning, Alberta, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? I expected something better Turncoat is the first song of the album and for my is the best song.
The rest of the album is ok but just ok, for me anti-flag in this album don´t sound so punk like in other albums in this album sound a little like the used or afi or all that punk new metal groups.
Another mistake in this album is that Justin Sane doesn´t sing in all the songs and the other guy that sings he thinks that he is in a new metal group like linkin park and that sucks.
May be Tom Morello(the producer) is the problem because this album(for me) doesn´t sound so punk than the others albums. Submitted by ANTI-YOU (Merida) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Anti-Flag Underground Network CD (2001)
Terror State CD music
$6.69 As WTO has proven, the revolution will indeed be televised, and judging by Underground Network, Anti-Flag's anthemic songs will be wafting across the frontlines. From their earliest days, the group have worn their politics proudly on their sleeve, a shared belief which has seen them through lineup changes and expansion from trio to a quartet. Some things have changed over time, however, both sonically and lyrically. After several label moves, Anti-Flag are now happily denizened at Fat Wreck Chords, a melodic punk home far removed from their early purer hardcore sound. The sea change in style was evident on A New Kind of Army, and now crests in an ocean of powerful pop-punk melodies, which bind them firmly to ...

Terror State songs
$10.25 Political punk rock has always felt pressure from society because of the extreme reaction many have to extreme political ideas. A good example of this situation was what Anti-Flag went through in the wake of the September 11th tragedy. Their name was viewed as "un-American" by many, and they found themselves on the receiving end of a minor album ban. On top of that, their anti-violence stance ...

$15.39 Fans expecting a collection of vintage Scott Walker are in for a surprise if they buy LOOKING BACK without doing a little research first. Before he was the reigning king of decadent-mope rock in the late '60s and early '70s, Walker was a struggling young singer who, during the late '50s and early '60s recorded numerous attempts at hit singles, some when he was still in high school.
As a result, this compilation of previously ...
| | Emerson, Lake, And Palmer Emerson Lake & Palmer CD (1970) (Import) England; Remastered; United Kingdom
Terror State songs
$13.15 When Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, and Carl Palmer left the Nice, King Crimson, and Atomic Rooster, respectively, they created the first prog-rock supergroup. ELP's 1971 debut was full of just as much bombast, technical facility, and brash classical-rock fusion as prog admirers could have hoped. A large part of the band's appeal was the keyboard mastery of Emerson, who shows both superhuman chops and sophisticated compositional abilities on the classically tinged instrumental "The Barbarian," which opens the album.
"Take a Pebble" and "Lucky Man" represent the more pop-oriented ballad side of the ELP sound, for which bassist and singer Greg Lake is chiefly responsible. The instrumental epics "The Three Fates" and "Tank" find all three musicians interacting at a furious level, throwing awe-inspiring licks around with ...
